It’s funny how they did a tour based on their love and then split up straight afterwards.

Or you could say it's funny that they didn't split up until after the show based on their life together

I have a feeling Katya might not get a partner this year, no proof for that but they dumped her from the tour after confirming her as a dancer so I do get the feeling that the SCD powers-that-be are not best pleased with her derailing their efforts at making it a family show. They will be fine with the couple being on though, Kevin and Karen have done this.

Luba didn't get a partner last year and they've brought in a further female professional so they don't seem short of female professionals.

Katya is an amazing dancer but I did begin to really dislike her last year. Not so much because of what she did, rather how she dealt with the aftermath.

Can't say I'm surprised by the news, I hope Neil gets a celeb this year. I wonder what his big news is that he hinted to on his Instagram the other week, can't see it being a tour with Katya now..

Has anyone seen the news that Gorka is supposedly being benched in favour of Neil?

I would think it's probably more likely that he's requested to take a step back so he doesn't have such a full schedule with being a new dad.

Me too... but they could bench Gorka & Graziano, still keeping Neil & Johannes to have a first go.

I do think it would be nice to show off some more British dancers. Just in a "yes, this is a sport you can get into here" type way.

In the first series, most of the dancers were British or competed for Great Britain. (You compete for the country you train in, rather than your own nationality — Joanne Clifton danced for Italy for years.)

Actually, I'd forgotten that AJ existed, so it isn't quite as bad as I thought.

Although we did lose both Chloe and Jo.

It will be lovely to see Neil get a partner this year if Gorka is being replaced by him.
I have loved watching Gorka dance from the start and one of my favourite group dances is "Pillow Talk" with Oksana as his partner. I guess it would give him, Gemma and their child more quality time and fair enough, I say.
I would love to see Johannes partnered as well rather than Graziano.

How come Brexit won't affect some of the pros? I know that Aljaz and Pash have been here years so could possibly get settled status and that Gorka has his daughter now here but what about Graz? Has he been here a while?
Do you think they all get residency to remain or have they had to take British citizenship?
Why have certain people said Katya needed Neil for a green card - I know Russia's not EU but wouldn't Kat and Pash have had visas like Janette and Karen at one point? Aljaz and Anya having Slovenian/Latvian status presumably had EU rights?

Neil probably deserves a partner after last year.
Don't want to see Katya on the naughty bench: also curious as to whether her choreo changes as there were always rumours that Neil helped with choreo/creative ideas. I wonder if they will still be paired in the group dances and also whether Kev/Karen being happy in their new relationships = They will dance together this series.
I do like Luba but think it's strange that Nancy has been brought in if it weren't for a height reason for a sleb. Unless they have decided they always have to have at least one reserve.
(this year it will be one female reserve and two male pros that have to be benched).
