Just finished it! I loved Erica! She's my new favourite Grin

It does funny very well considering the subject matter. Hopper in the fun house being chased by the Russian. Suzy and Dustin's duet. The stoned twins. All hilarious!

I love Stranger Things and loved this series!

I do find it annoying that both Hopper and Mike want to control Eleven to a certain extent. Was glad that Mike and Eleven split up as watching them both snog for the whole series would have driven me mad! Agree that Mike was unbelievably rude to Hopper, he was so out of line.

Really hope Hopper isn't dead 😢

Yy to Joyce moving the kids away although tbf you can't really blame her not wanting to stay either!

Other thoughts...

What ever happened to the Byers dog?? He vanished after series 1.

Would Erica and Lucas's parents not have been a bit worried that both their kids vanished for a whole weekend? I know parents were a bit more lax in the 80s but surely not that lax!!

Not sure I was convinced that Max would secretly love her step brother, he was always horrible to her! Obviously I get that even if she hated him she wouldn't want him to be eaten by a massive alien 😬

Why did eleven lose her powers?

I am also amazed at the acting abilities of all the kids, I hope fame doesn't ruin them.

I've just this minute finished watching it (with my kids, who have school in the morning, oops! Blush)

I was in floods of tears, I love Hopper, even if he did have a 'tache.Grin

The kids are all amazing actors, definitely some of the best I've ever seen.

I can't wait for season 4, hopefully it won't be too long a wait.

I now have The Neverending Story song as an earworm!

Loved it and love that when they bring in a new character it works so well. Robin and Steve were just fabulous. Well worth a binge watch. I really hope the America is Hopper

@Girliefriendlikescake My take on El losing her powers was due to burn out. She had been over doing using her powers. How many tissues did she go through!

There was no time to recharge and in the last episode she fought off the Mind Flayer when she injured her leg it took a lot to remove the monster slug attached to her. Did it's blood affects her abilities ?

Then with the loss of Hopper I think it's left a hole.

Cue season 4 and a reason to get the abilities back.

The more I think about it the more i think Hopper jumped into the upside down and in series 4 el will get his powers back and find him in there and they will have to get him out

Am I the only one that thinks Steve and Robin might still get together? I get that she liked that girl, but she could be bi and I think she is, she likes Steve more than she's letting on. They'd be cool together even as just friends in season 4 but I think they might get together.

I hope hopper comes back, but the American being brenner would be a twist. And make sense to get el's powers back since she's lost them now.

And Dustin and suzie, oh my god. So cute. Loved hoppers face during it, couldn't stop laughing. Grin

Noooooo Blueoasis! Can you imagine the backlash if she was Bi? Reddit would go into meltdown. Plus it's really good to have a gay character whose sexuality isn't the primary character focus. It was so subtle and understated and I just loved how it all rolled off Steve's back when they started talking about Tammy and her terrible singing voice. I don't think they need to pair EVERYONE off. It would be nice for them to just be friends and would give the show a chance to introduce new characters.

There was also the hint from Mike to Will "...you don't like girls" I'm not sure if that's because of Will's age or character arc that he spent so long in the Upside Down/a coma and he's a bit behind the door with being interested in girls or maybe he will never be. Who knows Wink

True, there would be an uproar. But the way she looked at him in the video store and when she said she really really likes him, I dunno. Maybe they are thinking about it and seeing how people react?

Yeah we thought will might be gay too. But he may just not be interested yet, he's the one who was still wanting to play games while his friends obsessed over their girlfriends. Maybe he just meant it like 'I don't like them as they spoil our fun' but never know. The next season will probably skip forward a couple of years again to account for the actors getting older so might know then.

I just can’t even cope with the Dustin and Suzie duet just while everything is going to literal hell in a hand basket, and all the other characters in their various perilous circumstances can do little else but just sit their in a stupefied silence powerless to do anything as they listen on. To top it off the IRONY that’s it’s “never ending story”...*

Pure genius.

Utterly and completely amazing. I fucking roared with laughter, Hop's face as he and Joyce pace around waiting for the code having to listen to them warble on.

Comedy gold.

The entire series was nostalgia central for me, I loved loved loved it. Agree that Hopper won't be dead although his face as he looks at Joyce made me shed a few tears.

I loved Murray and the "Bald Eagle" directions... "bald eagle has landed, I repeat bald eagle has landed..." - so completely far fetched but amazingly so.

Next season I'd like to see more with the upside down, this season was great but I felt lacked the sinister spine chilling tingle that was the eery other world.

I watched Fast Times at Ridgemont High as a result of Season 3 you can see the inspiration behind Scoops Ahoy with the restaurant Captain Hook Fish and Chips and the Mall s pure 80's nostalgia.

Also the Fast Times dream sequence is very much like the pool scene in episode one. Loved the full on make up and swimming costumes.

I'm glad everyone loved the duet in " The Battle of Starcourt" Gabby Pizzolo played Broadway in two shows one with the lead Matilda and Gaten Matarazzo was Benjamin in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, and Gavroche in Les Misérables. What a talented pair!

I love the 80s nostalgia as well, I was 7yo in 1985 and remember the clothes that Elle was wearing!!

I think Will is just a bit behind the other boys, they're only 14yo or so in this series so still young. There didn't really seem to be much chemistry between Max and Lucus really.

Someone suggested that a film would be better than a 4th series? It's such a money spinner for Netflix though, I hope they don't ruin it and keep it going longer than they should!

4th season might be the last. They are undecided on a 5th but 5 is the maximum the Duffer Brothers will allow.

I would much rather have 16 more episodes than a film.

I didn't like this series as much as the previous two. I thought the pacing was off amongst other things. But I still enjoyed it.

I'm 99.99% certain Hopper is still alive. Even if he isn't "the American" then he slipped through the doorway before it closed and is trapped in The Upside Down.

Dustin is utterly adorable. Loved every scene he was in, especially the ones with Erica. I swear I had her exact dungaree outfit as a kid. Grin Minus the headlamps.

Just googled the cast to see how old Steve is in rl (27) and Hopper is only 44! I thought he was 10 years older than that.

Also, whoever does hair and costumes does an amazing job.

Nah, I’m 54 and Hopper looks way younger. The moustache doesn’t do him any favours, though. Winona Ryder is 47.
