I think Michael started going off Amber after the whole Danny thing. You could see it in his face . Can’t blame him really

ILoveYou3000 · 02/07/2019 16:51

Notrust That's not how it works with the Casa Amor reunions. It won't be all the boys choose. It's one couple at a time. So for example Michael; he'll be sat at the fire pit and asked who he wants to recouple with, he says Joanna so she sits with him, then Flack says "let's see what Amber chose" or similar and then Amber walks in alone, sees Michael with someone and if I remember correctly she's told to stand to the side as she's now single.

plaidpyjamas · 02/07/2019 16:52

Still disagree..yes Anna was immature to keep saying 'bye'but she was sticking up for her friend. Danny was in the wrong because he totally blamed Yewande saying she was pushing him towards Arabella by being cold. That was a coward's way out. He needed to own it and then it would've been fine. Lucie was picking up and dropping the girls' company as it suited her emotional state - why shouldnt someone call her on it? It's easy for lads to say girls are bitchy when they actually mean straight talking and honest.

SlipperOrchid · 02/07/2019 16:52

I think it was the tweet that got to Michael.

MoominMantra · 02/07/2019 16:54

'Sticking up for her friend' ?!

Yes if she was in year 4 at primary school you could explain it away. As a 28 year old pharmacist? Not so much...

MoominMantra · 02/07/2019 16:56

Lucie wasn't doing anything wrong at all @plaidpyjamas

Would you force your dd to be friends with girls she didn't like?

Bluntness100 · 02/07/2019 16:57

f for any reason they made him choose Jordaan or Joanne

I can't get why people are so obsessed with thinking the show is managed to this level. They aren't made to pick anyone. Ever. It's their choice.

Any decision Curtis makes is his.

Curtis has realised he's not going to win with Amy. So doesn't wish to pretend he's into her any more. Coupling up with someone else gives him another crack at winning and gets him out of the awkward situation he's got himself into with her, if he'd been top three he'd have stuck with her.

She's in there declaring she loves him for goodness sake. It doesn't get any more cringe.

SlipperOrchid · 02/07/2019 16:58

She didn’t! She was friendly at first until she realised what they were like and she distanced herself from them. She coupled up with Joe and stuck with him. The girls ganged up on her and said she didn’t hang out with them anymore. She said she didn’t want to. They roped Joe in to make her change her mind. She cried and reluctantly sat with them. She then moved back towards hanging out with the boys again.

Interestingly she as happy to sit with Maura and Arabella and Molly. It is obvious she doesn’t like Amy, Anna and Amber.

fraxion · 02/07/2019 16:58

Totally and not to mention the catcalling from the balcony when Maura came in. That is when I went off her.

ILoveYou3000 · 02/07/2019 16:59

How is saying "bye" repeatedly when someone is trying to talk sticking up for anyone? Anna was exactly what Jordan said she was, in that moment; pathetic and immature.

Also sticking up for her friend because someone chose not to recouple with someone he didn't like, same thing Anna is doing tonight. If she thought what Danny had done was so awful and was genuinely upset and sticking up for her mate, she wouldn't be doing the exact same thing herself 3 days later.

bbpp · 02/07/2019 17:00

If it's true only 6 islanders are going, that means Curtis doesn't recouple and they keep all the originals - surely?

It would be Dan, Lavena, Nabila, Maria, Denon/Marvin and George/Stevie going home.

If he's recoupled there'd only be 5 newbies to dump. If they dumped the single originals as well that'd be 8 (Amber, Amy, Jordan).

Please correct me if I'm missing something Grin

Bluntness100 · 02/07/2019 17:03

If it's true only 6 islanders are going, that means Curtis doesn't recouple and they keep all the originals - surely?

Well no of course not. It doesn't say six new islanders are going. It says six islanders. They will be a mix of old and new.

Dickybow321 · 02/07/2019 17:05

Yes and now Anna is likely to dump Jordan for Ovie and I’m sure that’s fine...

As much as I like and feel sorry for Jordan, yes of course it's fine. What else should she do? Stay with Jordan out of pity?

fraxion · 02/07/2019 17:07

Ooooj it's on for 1hr 20 tonight.

MoominMantra · 02/07/2019 17:08

@Dickybow321 I think the pp meant that Anna got mad at Danny for twisting but now she's doing the same...

bbpp · 02/07/2019 17:11

I'm aware it doesn't say six NEW islanders, I was saying I didn't see how the numbers work if Curtis recouples. Although, thinking about it I've just realised it would work if Jordan picks somebody (4 newbies go, plus Amber & Amy) but I was assuming he'd stay single.

bbpp · 02/07/2019 17:11

Well, with Anna

plaidpyjamas · 02/07/2019 17:12

Anna hasn't blamed Jordan. She knows the recoupling is her doing and on her. She's not blaming someone else. That's the difference with Danny's behaviour. I agree Anna and Amber have been childish and immature but I still like them. They're proper girl mates. Lucie, Maura, Arabella are not. And saying that I still like Lucie and Maura. And @MoominMantra no i wouldn't force my daughter to be friends with anyone but I also wouldn't want her to kiss someone she was not at all attracted to because she felt she couldn't say no (as Lucie seemed to last night). In other words I'd rather she behaved like an Amber than like a Lucie.

Crazyladee · 02/07/2019 17:14

@fraxion still starts at 9pm?

fraxion · 02/07/2019 17:16

Yes it does @Crazyladee

SlipperOrchid · 02/07/2019 17:21

Yes it isn’t scripted but this is from a (verified) person who worked on LI last year.

I worked throughout. Think, there’s about 20 hours a day of filming, so there’s an awful lot you don’t see. Nothing’s scripted per se, however there is a lot of producer interventions and setting up for the cameras and reshoots. It’s constructed reality at its core.

He also went on to say that if the Islanders wanted to say something but they didn’t want it aired, they would have their conversation and randomly shout out ‘I love drugs’ in the middle of it so it couldn’t be shown 😀

Notrusthere · 02/07/2019 17:23

I'm so excited!! (I clearly need a hobby!)

Iloveyou3000- my point still stands re the redirection though. He chooses not to re couple and is waiting for amy to come back in when he says that bit from the first look.

Hope I'm wrong like!

Bluntness100 · 02/07/2019 17:26

Yes but reshoots etc or suggestions on who to talk to is not telling them who to couple up with, they simply don't do that.

Bluntness100 · 02/07/2019 17:27

And if you mean the person who posted on here, they were not verified, 🤣

SlipperOrchid · 02/07/2019 17:31

He also said this.

They do intervene but it’s never created an argument, only fuelled it maybe.

Yeah they had down days where the show has too much content, so they’ll send some nail technicians and hair dressers in. But they had hair cuts once or week or so.

They will all have new hair after tonight 😀
