Having said that, Keith is serving for the first set, if he can do 3 quick ish sets, that is ok.

(Sorry Norrie).

Fizzywinegum · 04/07/2019 13:55

I like Peter Fleming.

Keith never has a quick match - he always manages to turn a seemingly easy win into a five set drama that goes on for hours and then knackers himself for the next round! (Hopefully I’ll be proven wrong today Smile)

PrivateIsles · 04/07/2019 13:58

Fizzy yes that's Keith's usual MO isn't it?!

Kvitova v Mladenovic has some good rallies - am sticking with this for now.

Elderflower14 · 04/07/2019 14:00

Who is Keith?

Fizzywinegum · 04/07/2019 14:05

Sorry Elderflower it’s Kei Nishikori - he came out as Keith once in a typo and has been known as that ever since Smile

Raahh · 04/07/2019 14:12

I just had to drop ds off somewhere (came back to find they had changed the match i was watching- surprise!)- but yes, turning a seemingly easy match into a difficult one , is something Keith does wellGrin.

JaneJeffer · 04/07/2019 14:13

Dan Evans going strong.

Raahh · 04/07/2019 14:16

Glad to see Peetra turned that first set around- I do like Mladenovic, but Kiki has a strong chance in the doubles, coming off an RG win, so it would be lovely if Kvitova could win this.

The Keith match is very flat. (As we predicted. Not Popcorn at all- not even the presence of a Brit can make it so. Bit of a waste).

Raahh · 04/07/2019 14:21

*Petra

Just noticed Cilic has started his match.

PrivateIsles · 04/07/2019 14:22

I think Evans plays Cilic next.... Now that could definitely be popcorn...

Raahh · 04/07/2019 14:23

Of course, Marin has to get there first.

which the way his year is going (and he's 4-2 down in his first set) well...you never know.

PrivateIsles · 04/07/2019 14:27

Oh sorry - yes I'm getting way ahead of myself and getting my rounds mixed up! Forgot he had to play Sousa first.

OP posts:
JaneJeffer · 04/07/2019 14:27

Great rallies in this Evans match.

Raahh · 04/07/2019 14:28

Private to be fair, he has just almost drawn back level, so all is not lost Grin

Fizzywinegum · 04/07/2019 14:30

Keith does seem to be proving me wrong - don’t want him to win too quickly - I need time to get home for Rafa

I’m not really a Dan Evans fan but have been quite impressed with his comeback since the drug ban - he does moan a bit though.

Come on Cilic!

PrivateIsles · 04/07/2019 14:32

Come on Kukushkin

OP posts:
Raahh · 04/07/2019 14:35

I can never warm to Evans, sorry. He also narrowly escaped a £13K fine the other year at Wimbledon for basically the same behaviour as Tomic- and he won the match, in qualifying, I think it was.

I will never be persuaded by Evans. The drugs thing was by the by. It's his shit previous attitude to the game I can't stand. Too little too late for me now I'm sorry (probably needs the money).

JaneJeffer · 04/07/2019 14:36

Basilashvili is making a bit of a comeback.

PrivateIsles · 04/07/2019 14:36

I don't know much about Kukushkin but he's playing Isner

OP posts:
Raahh · 04/07/2019 14:37
Grin

I made the mistake of switching onto the Isner match Private to see Isner with his tongue hanging out. Put me off my coffee.

JaneJeffer · 04/07/2019 14:37

That's a good enough reason to support him Private

Raahh · 04/07/2019 14:37

And Marin lost the first set.

Come ON Marin!

Raahh · 04/07/2019 14:38

ABI

(Anyone but Isner)

Absolutely Grin

JaneJeffer · 04/07/2019 14:39

Dan is being very mannerly today thanking the ball boys loudly.

Raahh · 04/07/2019 14:39

Well, maybe not anyone but Isner.

I'd struggle with Kyrgios , for example.
