Back to tennis - Cori Gauff was amazing - hope they don’t put too much pressure on her.

well, on a side note , watching something odd on the TV just now ( DH pick) - Andre Agassi in an advert - do he and Steffi Graf have anything to do with tennis anymore ?

I'm not sure if they do book. I'd never have put those two together as a couple!

Andre was part of Dimitrov's coaching set up/team for a short time - I don't know what happened, whether it continued or not. Steffi went to one of his matches too - I think it was last year's US Open (Raahh will know ).

Cori Gauff is known as Coco as her father's name is Cori as well.

She is amazing. I would love to see her go all the way to Saturday week.

I was at Wimbledon today! Lucky enough to get court 1 tickets...and then to see surprise late Cori Gauff match! She is amazing! Can't wait to see how she does in the rest of the tournament.

Sad to see Edmund go out though.

Mini what a brilliant bonus seeing Gauff! In about 5-10 years when she's won everything under the sun, you'll be able to say you were there for her first Wimbledon!

According to some tennis journalists on twitter, Kyrgios is currently (or was) in the Dog & Fox in Wimbledon village - what's he up to, the night before a big match?! If he loses people will say ah well he was out the night before?! I don't get it.

In one of his press conferences he was asked if he got on with Rafa and he said that he couldn’t imagine having a drink in the Dog & Fox with him.

Will be keeping an eye on the scores today and should be home in time for Rafa’s match - hope it’s not on too late.

I'm tired. But that's not unusual.

On the subject of Agassi- wasn't he part of Djok's coaching team for a while? They didn't seem to get on-from interviews I read, it seemed Djok didn't really take much 'coaching' on board.

Kyrgios is an idiot. (Have I said that before?) Wasn't he up playing computer games or something the other week before he was supposed to be playing a match - and that was his excuse for playing badly?

The thing is- it should not really be (hard though it is to admit) that news worthy if he does beat Rafa . In a lot of ways - he should win. He's done it before and has a massive game when he actually plays. He's younger. It shouldn't be the big 'retirement worthy' story that that the press will turn it into , if Dick beats Rafa.

But they still will- like when he was beaten by Muller and the first stupid question from a journalist was 'So, Rafa, will you come back next year ?'. Even straight talking Mac said that was a rude question. He lost in 5 sets- 13/15 in the 5th set! not 3 bagels .

And Rafa did come back last year- and reached the semi finals.

Sorry to read the story about Harriet Dart's mixed doubles partner Jay Clarke dropping her by text in favour of Coco Gauff.
Not a nice way to go about it.

Just looking at the order of play. Can't believe Ash Barty - French Open champion, world No1, number 1 seed, remember her? - has been put on Court 2. Kerber (defending champion, if you recall, order of play cttee) is also on there later.

I know not everyone can play on the two show courts but when you look at some of the matches on them this week, it makes you go

Jay Clarke has gone down in my estimation. Apparently, he dumped Harriet Dart (who he got to the semis with last year) by text on Monday night, so he could play with Coco. Dart hasn't been able to find another partner!

That's terrible Zoe I'm surprised they can change partners at this stage.

Hmmm, I am NOT a Djokovic fan, and I noted his opposition to the removal of the "Mrs/Miss" tag with no surprise, given his stance on other issues connected to women players and women's tennis. But the Metro provides that transcript of the exchange over Gimmelstob and the journalist is garbled in his questioning at best. Tbf, I'm not surprised Djokovic was on the back foot because the journalist is very incoherent. Link here

That being said, Djokovic should have made it a priority to read those victim impact statements.

Cilantro it's so odd that they asked him about the Miss/Mrs thing. What's it got to do with him - or any male player tbh?!

Is that what happened with Jay Clarke? He and Harriet played MD together last year IIRC so that's a bit of a shame.
