In his interview after the match Rafa said he was looking forward to playing on centre court which I think was a bit of a barbed comment about him being on court one today.

He also wasn't keen on the Dick bad blood line of questioning, in effect saying HE was too old to play those sort of games, implying Dick is clearly a child

I love Rafa. He doesn't take any shit but he does it in such a nice way

Yes I’m quite liking Rafa being a bit more outspoken kazza - he was quite vocal about his seeding and I liked how he closed down the Kyrgios line of questioning.

Well, I will probably miss a chunk of the afternoon. DD2's sports day ..

I cannot wait.

DD2 isn't exactly rushing out of the door this morning either.

Ah the joy of sports day!! Why do they always arrange it so it happens during Wimbledon?! I think they do it on purpose.

What's going today - my mind's gone blank . All I can remember is Edmund v Verdasco on CC. Stan first on court 2 - can't think of anything else!

What with Wimbledon, swimming & other stuff to do, I don't seem to have a moment to post here!

It's DS's sports day all day today aswell.

I only got to see any tennis from yesterday on TAW last night - out on grandparenting duty .
It is weird it comes on at 8.30 , and Claire Balding had on something that made her look as if she had been in pantomime , which distracted me somewhat.
So what happened to Sharapova's arm ,? and the interview with Tomic was an embarrassment - how can he lounge there and answer like that?
I am glad that young Jubb won that tie break , good vibes for the future hopefully
With a tiny bit of luck , I may get to see some live tennis late afternoon today , fingers crossed !

Dd2's primary have always done that thing where it lots of little 'stations' involving chucking a bean bag in a hula hoop, or dribbling a football around cones.

It seems to go on forever. They meticulously score each event- but you never get to find out which team has won.

Over the last couple of years, they have introduced a 100metre run for each class, at the end. It was so hot last year, the children were wilting by then- so was I.

And it does always seem to coincide with Wimbledon. Which is really not on. At least today it is the 'other' side of the men's draw- I might get to watch Stan before I go.

I can't believe Stan and Halep - slam winners- are on court 2. Just so they can put Heather Watson and Kyle on the show courts .

I know they will always favour the Brits (RG does it too, with the French players), but it just seems really wrong.

That sports day set up sounds both hilarious and excruciating Raahh. Hope it doesn't go on for too long!

I've just been looking over the thread from yesterday (v enjoyable!!) and been reminded by my own post that I'd completely forgotten it's Khachanov-Lopez today. That could be good depending on how much Feli's got left in the tank after Queens.

book I'm not sure what happened to Sharapova, she was out injured for a while but I think that was her shoulder - but yesterday's injury looked like her arm. Maybe he just couldn't serve that last game??
