I came across this by chance.Started yesterday and shown each day at 1:45pm and then again at night (was 11:50pm yesterday)

Not really sure what I think of it, but really just wanted to say I hope Sharon Small doesn't mind being endlessly cast as another version of Havers all through her career.

(I am hoping as it has a day time slot it wont have too much overt violence and uncalled for female nudity. I just story telling.)

It's only on this week, before Eastbourne and then Wimbledon tennis.
The script is pretty dire and simplistic.
When Sharon Small read the caution, she got it wrongGrin

Having said that, it's nice seeing the views of London and no overt gore or violence.

I thought it was very meh. Like a previous poster said, very simplistic. Didn't have much depth. Feels like it's all been done before but better.

I started watching this tonight on iplayer. Honestly I love a crime drama but this was totally boring, couldn’t connect with any of the characters, yawnsville. I turned it off and started watching newsnight, that’s how bad it was!

I've now watched two episodes and it reminds me of when they tried to do that UK version of Law and Order. Same pace and style of dialogue. I really only originally posted as I was thinking how awful to still be type cast after all those years since Shroan Small had to put up with the pompous idiot Linley (realise I cant remember the characters name).

So sorry - how terrible for you - yes they should give warnings especially as first shown early afternoon (and repeated late nights).

It was one of the reasons I thought I would give it a go as I thought it would not be so graphically violent. But hadn't thought through that for some who have real experience of violence might find it triggering.

But apart from that - I enjoyed the storyline and will try and watch no 2 tomorrow - well today. It’s now past midnight

According to IMDb there are 10 episodes this year - I really hope that they'll be showing the next five after Wimbledon!

I thought it was slow to start off, probably the first two episodes and then I got into it. The dialogue was poor at times though, the script needs sharpening up. It has potential though.

No. We didn’t find out any more either, except how Amber whoever came by the red handbag. I was very distracted by how much she, Amber, looked like the stepdaughter. I thought they were sisters at first.

Stumbledin the American Law and Order was actually based on a British tv series, I can't remember which one.

I couldn't make the effort to watch online, but agree about the 2 characters looking alike. I thought that was just me nodding off.

Redshoeblueshoe - well I googled it. And it seems it was originally a US series, with off shoots. And about a year before it was cancelled in the US they started the UK version (with the same plot lines for series one?)

But either way the style of London Kills reminded me of the series. ie the same team apparently clearing up series crimes in each episode with some personal stuff added on.

Just been watching this, looked confidently for no. 6 which I assumed would be about finding the missing wife and whether the inspector chucked Amber over the balcony, somewhat bemused to find the series has finished, at least for now.

I was really mainly watching it for background noise whilst I grappled with a complicated crochet pattern. With hindsight, it really is pretty poor. Why did absolutely none of the interviewees in any crime investigated have a solicitor with them? How come there wasn't a separate team investigating the disappearance of the inspector's wife? And how come the equivalent of the Line of Duty mob didn't turn up once Amber hit the ground?

Stumbled after my previous post I went back on Wikipedia and it says what you said, but I'm sure I once read it was originally based on a British program from the 60's.
Does anyone know when it's back on ?
I'll have a look on the BBC site
