Can someone pass me a defibrillator please. I think my heart has gone into overdrive. what an amazing match, love watching Andy as a singles player but him and Lopez make a dream team.

PrivateIsles · 22/06/2019 21:00

viques it was quite nerve-wracking wasn't it?! I started out not too bothered and then became v invested in it! Enjoyed the champs tiebreak.

viques · 22/06/2019 21:03

It sure was! Couldn't believe people leaving just before the tie break, maybe they thought there was another set and it wouldn't be played so were rushing to the station..

Annabelles hair looks good, I think she is going to Kim's hairdresser!

JaneJeffer · 22/06/2019 21:05

I didn't see Annabelle but she always looks so good.

I hope Feli is ok for tomorrow.

PrivateIsles · 22/06/2019 21:12

She does. I saw her in Pret once (probably mentioned this a million times on here already) and she was gorgeous! And v tall even though just wearing flats.

I think Feli would have been better off just carrying on and playing the finals tonight - he was on a roll Grin

Win it for Delpo, Feli! (As he got a walkover in R2 as a result)

Yay well done Murray & López - must admit I didn’t hold out much hope for them before the start of the tournament but good to see Andy looking so happy. It is annoying that the whole tournament has been made to be about Andy - I’m sure he wouldn’t have wanted that.

That focus on Andy also resulted in bonkers scheduling which can’t be good for Feli - he looked exhausted poor thing.

Hope he can keep up the momentum though - do it for the oldies Feli Smile

magimedi · 22/06/2019 22:02

Feli will win tomorrow - both his finals.

And I love Andy. So happy to see him playing again.

Fizzywinegum · 22/06/2019 22:08

Mystic Magi has spoken Grin

kazzaD66 · 22/06/2019 22:24

I loved the doubles (preferred it to the singles if I'm honest, I love the fast net play). Really thought Lopez and Murray had blown it after losing the second set but the momentum swung back again and I was a tad animated towards the end Grin

Really hope Feli does the double tomorrow.
Vamos Grin

Quite funny that Jamie didn't want to partner Andy in case he held him back. So, which Murray brother is in the final...? Grin

PrivateIsles · 23/06/2019 09:34

Feeling quite excited for today's matches Smile

I see it's Fed v Goffin in Halle - if Fed wins he'll be seeded 2 for Wimbledon and Rafa will be 3rd. If he loses, rafa will be seeded 2. Anderson is going to be seeded 4th apparently! I was quite surprised by that, but I suppose they couldn't really put Sascha/Dom ahead of kevin, given their records on grass.

Meanwhile Ash Barty will be no1 if she wins today in Brum. Go on Ash!

Stan seems to have a lot of time on his hands Grin

That’s interesting about the Wimbledon seedings Private - no 3 seed would likely meet Djok in semis if things go to plan so would be better for Rafa to be seeded 2nd.

Anderson’s form hasn’t been great recently but the Wimbledon seeding has always been a bit strange.

kazzaD66 · 23/06/2019 12:09

I know Wimbledon have their own way of working out the rankings because of the uniqueness of grass - and tbf, they often get it right - but Kevin has been out injured and only won one match at Queens. Agree that keeping Dom and Sascha above him might not work but also above him in the rankings are Keith and Stefanos. I would have thought that maybe the latter might have had more of a claim, given form over the last 6 months Hmm

Stan does make me laugh BearGrin

Raahh · 23/06/2019 12:37

I have to go out later this afternoon, so might get to see the singles, but not the doubles.

I have everything crossed for a Goffin win over in Halle. It's 3-3 in the first set at the moment.

PrivateIsles · 23/06/2019 12:43

I'm just watching a bit of it Raahh - Goffin/Coffin/Griffin is getting close on Fed's service games but not quite managing to break. The commentators are fawning over Roger as usual Hmm

Raahh · 23/06/2019 12:46

I've just put prime on, Private (I haven't got the sound on thoughGrin)

Raahh · 23/06/2019 12:49

I can't believe it's a year since I was watching the end of the match against Coric ( was at my sister's house, they ad invited us for a bbq for the first England world cup matchGrin).

Raahh · 23/06/2019 12:51

What does Fed have to say about the the a shadows on the court there then? That cross hatch thing is really annoying to look at.

PrivateIsles · 23/06/2019 12:54

Oof - thought Fed was going to break then.

I'm supposed to be painting some skirting boards (putting white over white undercoat, I can't tell which bits I've already done, plus watching tennis and MNing Grin) am lacking a bit of focus...

Raahh last year's Wimbledon seems about 10 minutes ago. I can't believe it's almost here again.

OP posts:
Raahh · 23/06/2019 12:56

This year has really gone quickly. Scarily so.

Raahh · 23/06/2019 12:58

If this goes to a tie break, I'm not confident of David's chances.

Raahh · 23/06/2019 12:58

But I hope I'm wrong.

PrivateIsles · 23/06/2019 13:02

Yes it's looking that way.

My painting is taking me further and further away from my iPad and now I can't see the screen but can still hear the annoying commentary Hmm
