There's certainly more to his game than just his serve. But he has been thwarted with injury, for most of his career.

AC now thinks he is Carol Vorderman.

He can use the calculator function on his phone, bless him Grin.

PrivateIsles · 21/06/2019 17:21

magi sounds like a brilliant day! Yes I would have thought Caroline would be on her honeymoon as well - also wasn't she injured at RG? Anyway it sounds brilliant, and good to hear you are emulating Stan with your red nose!!

AC's got his eye on the pink grapefruit tonic

It was saying he was once a next big thing, as was Kyrgios, and Tsitsipas is now.

Ah - sorry. I thought that AC the commentators were being their usual vacuous selves.

Raahh · 21/06/2019 17:30

Not big enough, AC.

Fining Kyrgios will achieve nothing, when you all still fawn all over him.

hawleybits · 21/06/2019 17:31

I don't even like tennis, but can I just say...

Private that's very practical, that, tupperware. Grin.

Don't want to leave your bananas in them too long. They go mushy.

PrivateIsles · 21/06/2019 17:32

Well that would be a fair assumption Grin

Poor Grigor. I wonder if he thinks, that was me, once? And whether there's any hope he can still fulfill that potential? He's 28 as you say and these youngsters are coming up fast. It makes me quite sad for him.

I always thought he could still nick a Slam in the period between big 3 retiring and Stefanos and co starting to dominate... but now I'm not so sure.

hawley there is a lot to like about Stefanos, definitely Grin.

JaneJeffer · 21/06/2019 17:34

If I look at that photo long enough will it heal my hip hawley?

Raahh · 21/06/2019 17:35

Well, Stan was nearly 29, if my maths is correct (might need AC's calculator) when he won his first Slam.

So there is hope for Grigor. But it's a slim chance, the speed at which the younger players are progressing. So long as they stay healthy.

PrivateIsles · 21/06/2019 17:35

hawley give it a go! You might like it Smile

Do not mention Gimelstob.

JaneJeffer · 21/06/2019 17:42

I see Sascha lost to Griffin in Halle. It'll give him time to catch up on his admin before Wimbledon at least.

JaneJeffer · 21/06/2019 17:43

Goffin. This autocorrect gets on my wick! It doesn't remember anything Angry

JaneJeffer · 21/06/2019 17:45

And Berrettini has beaten Karen. He'll be one to watch at Wimbledon.

Raahh · 21/06/2019 17:50

Why, oh why are they still talking about Dick??

Why?

I don't care about his issues. And no, Peter, you were not 'all hotheads and border line nutcases' in the 70s/80s. (there will be complaints about that , probablyGrin).

PrivateIsles · 21/06/2019 17:55

Grin Peter comes out with some err interesting comments.

Jane Grin at Griffin. My phone always corrects it to Boffin Hmm

JaneJeffer · 21/06/2019 17:57

I remember all the grief Mac used to get when he got angry about wrong calls so no you can't say it would have been acceptable back then.

Raahh · 21/06/2019 18:00

Jane exactly. He became a caricature of himself, almost, because of his behaviour.

And Raonic is out, that's a shame. I do like Lopez, but I really wanted Milos to progress.

Fizzywinegum · 21/06/2019 18:00

Just catching up on all your chat and the tennis. Can’t believe they’re still talking about Kyrgios- apparently he’s playing in the wrong era - tennis players are too well behaved now so he stands out more Confused

Sad about Stefanos but Felix AA sounds like an exciting player - I don’t think I’ve seen him play yet.

López is having a bit of a renaissance it seems - hope he’s not too tired to play doubles with Andy.

The fever tree signs make me want a gin and tonic too - I might treat myself. I agree Private Fever tree is expensive.

JaneJeffer · 21/06/2019 18:00

Yay well done Deliciano
