Hope no one minds, as the other thread was almost full up I’ve started another.

Latecomer to the thread but an avid LI viewer. It really hasn't been very entertaining this far. I'm another one who misses the authentic nature of the first couple of series. It didn't seem so set up back in the day. Having the smoking area helped as it seems there were a lot of genuine conversations going on there. I understand why they stopped people smoking because of the influential young people watching, but I'm in my 40s so it's frustrating to me! It feels like there was a lot more daytime action back in the day, and not just conversations about who everyone fancied. We saw real friendships developed etc.

Anyway, things change and it is what it is 😁 Curtis makes me cringe. I don't believe he's genuine. I think Tommy has a terrible attitude towards women (but I'm probably judging him by his brother's standards). Anna seems lovely; I really like her.

Michael seems like a nice bloke based on the little we've seen of him but to me he's just not attractive at all. I do like him and Amber together though and hope they become a thing. Love Amber now.

Curtis seemed lovely at first but now I don't know. Him and Amy happened too fast it's boring now. I want romantic tension and slow-build to get invested!

I didn't like Danny in the previews/first looks etc and his bat ears really distracted me but last night in the actual episode he was quite charming.

I disliked Tommy from the get-go and am glad was right about him. He's just awful. Spoiled and selfish with zero convo skills or any skills.

I want more new people coming in!! Give me attractive and entertaining

If tommy survives how on earth will he cope with the babies task?

Well the one good thing that’s coming out of Love Island is that Ds17 has announced he can’t be like Tommy and needs to properly learn how to cook!

He thought Tommy was an embarrassment.

So he cracked on and made spicy chicken rice and broccoli for dinner last night and made omelettes for him and his brother for breakfast this morning. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I’m really chuffed.

This then inspired ds2 (14) to announce he’s making pesto broccoli pasta for dinner tonight.

I also think antons personality is coming out a bit more, possibly he's lost a bit of his arrogance . The same with tommy I think he's loosing some arrogance too.

Tommy I'm quite stunned at. He is physically very attractive but has little conversation, is not relaxed, tries too hard with the women so it comes across as a bit cringe, and is so undomesticated it's simply odd. He's starting to look like a fish out of water, flailing around

It's interesting as I'd say anton and tommy are two of the physically best looking guys in there. But neither of them have been able to form any romantic attachment at all

Anton is friend zoning himself, and he's the one I'd wonder if he was actually gay, not Curtis, and tommy just bizzarely doesn't know how to behave round women at all and is now starting to appear very young, he's appearing his age.

Not being able to pull is likely a first for both of them and has totally thrown them.

Agree that it seems to be more about what connections or socials media influence contestants have to get on the show.. eg Tommy is just dull with not a lot of personality, he obviously got on the show because of who he is rather than what he has to offer.

I watched last nights episode but didn’t watch any of the weekend. And cba to catch up. Did I miss anything major? Glad to see it wasn’t the Lucie show last night. Did that have a real conclusion

The producers will try to keep Tommy in at all costs as he is already half famous. Same with Molly probably. I remember last year everyone wanted to rid of Megan and the producers did everything in their power to stop it from happening 😂

There will be more new people soon just in time for the recoupling as a boy went home last week it will be 2 girls if tradition holds and a girl will go. As pp said they will keep tommy in as long as possible so at least one of those will think he is just their type is my bet.

Yewande is sweet but I don't think she is right for the show and I don't think many guys will go for her as she comes across very awkward and cringey. They need to bring in some girls with a bit more about them with some banter. I find all the girls really boring except Anna and Amy but Lucie gets away with it as she is so stunning

Yewande will go one of 2 ways I think if they put the right guy in there she could end up like Camillia. A fan favourite who is still with Jamie 2 years later. Or if not she will be this seasons Dr Alex. Most people going in now are looking for fame. So they will want to be all about the drama I don't think she's like that but we have only started seeing her this week so i might have read her wrong.

The way Curtis has described men on more than one occasion...going on about new guys having lean hot bodies etc just makes me ponder about him.

Is Curtis the only un-ripped professional dancer?

I find Amy and Curtis cringey because I just can't see that he is into her. He is good looking but his vibe just would not allow me to fancy him because he comes across as gay, even though he's not. My instinct at the thought of them in the hideaway was 🙄

Amy is very cringey as she is so insecure. Her speech before she chose to couple up with him was so self-deprecating as to be unattractive. Who wants to hear that the woman you are with thought nobody would go for her? 🙄

Yewande was super-awkwatd with Danny and made me wonder why the hell she is in there. It is painful to watch. On her Instagram she is so confident and has a ridiculous body. We need to see that girl or she needs to go, stat.

Yes Curtis and Anton, either both of them are so secure in their masculinity that they feel able to point out how attractive other men are without worrying that they seem gay, or they’re both gay/bi!
