Do doctors not give ex addicts any kind of painkillers ever again? Even if black and blue? Can’t say painkillers ever give me anything than bad side effects.

If she was addicted to heroin then a doctor would be very careful about prescribing anything morphine/codeine based. Basically there is really no such thing as an ex addict. Unfortunately, they are recovering addicts for ever. The temptation to abuse, especially given the stuff going on in her life, would be very high.

Raine was on crack she got phill addictedfor a fortnight the Drs won'tprescribe opiate painkillers.

What would happen if Rainie needed an op then painkillers after to recover? Would she not be given them?

Whilst in hospital they would administer. And it would/should be tightly controlled afterwards. No repeat prescriptions and possibly administered by district nurse (not sure they exist any more).

I've never thought about how a recovering drug addict would manage about prescription or over the counter tablets.
No wonder doctors need to know so much about us!
