Akire - I might be wrong, but I think Mel got the online banking to the point where she only had to click on Confirm Payment to withdraw £75k from Jack's account. Then she had a little wobble and Jack came in the house. Rainie appeared pretty quickly afterwards and I think she would've had the chance to change the payee before sending the money to her account, which enabled her to do a runner with Baby Abby.

I also think Rainie has changed the payments online to her account. Quick thinking on her part , unless she already knew that Mel was out to scam Jack?
She also managed to pack her and a baby up within minutes! Proper cases too: I would be still be up the loft retrieving mine.

She must have done - there's no other reason for the laptop to have been left logged on and mid-payment otherwise. The suitcases would have been readily available as in EE people need to be able to leave at the drop of a hat.

I note that she left in a mini cab, not a black one though, which is unusual.

Rainie didn't look over at the laptop did she? I would have thought that a ' master crim' like Mel would have put the lid down or something! It was all very weird.

Every single other time Mel has been using the laptop and someone walked in she has closed the lid down. Except this time.

I think Mel left the lid up on the laptop then went off to see jack as he went straight into the kitchen and didn't go into the living room.
Rainie came in and didn't even look in the direction of the table. Next time we see her the bags are packed and cab has arrived and Abi is all ready to go as well. Mel was chatting to jack. Did she come in to the living room again to shut down the pc? Why didn't they hear Rainie getting her bags packed? Were they already done? She was spying on Mel earlier on.
It's all very odd , but it wouldn't surprise me if Rainie has the money!

Even if Raine sussed what Mel was doing. You have to reenter the passwords etc if there has been no action on banking screen for a couple of minutes.

I think that transferring an amount like that would cause bank to run security check such as a phone call. Also, on my account, if you don't immediately complete transaction you get timed out. But then EE is a financial Never-Never land where normal rules don't apply.

Agreed - I'm pretty sure that you can't withdraw more than £50k in one day when using online banking, but as PPs say, this is EE!

I transferred considerably more than that recently. It had to be a CHAPS payment though. Only one of the banks involved checked via a phone call.

not sure what the rules are about transferring money around - might be different if its a business account? never had one, so not sure. must be checks on big payments i would have thought? the business manager at the bank would be in touch as well?

it is, money is a mystery in EE - ebbs and flows around no problem at all - like Phil with his 50k he wanted back once, then forgot all about even when he was on his uppers and being blackmailed.
