Big Bang Finale - Obviously Spoilers.

No thread on the Big Bang Theory finale? I thought it was perfect.

I shed a tear at the Nobel winning moment, the lift, Penny's pregnancy, seeing Halley and Michael and that speech, especially when he said, "Astronaut Howard"! It was the perfect ending.

I also LOVED the ending of this season of Young Sheldon where we get to see young Leonard, Penny etc. The little details of the things in their bedrooms was beautiful, even the P that Penny has kept for her wall now.

Leonard's mum isn't in the finale.

I'm a bit cross that Penny has gradually let go of all her hopes and plans and dreams, the pregnancy seemed like an ending for her (which I guess it is really). I'm also a bit annoyed that Amy had to have a makeover and become conventionally pretty, but I forgave the writers because if her speech.
But I generally really liked the ending, it's so good to have a proper ending to a series, not just to be cancelled with unresolved storylines.

@Outanabout yes but his mam wasn't in it. The one where they sorted their relationship was the penultimate episode.

@PerspicaciaTick thing is in letting go of her acting dream she found something that she was really good and successful at. Her and Bernice both out-earn their husbands. And I reckon she'd go back to work whilst Leonard took time out to care for the twins.

Penny and Leonard would get a nanny.

Thought it was a good finale, better than the Game of Thrones ending

I really enjoyed it, i didnt know if i would because the series hasnt been that great. But i did shed a tear at Leonard and his mum in the penultimate episode and Sheldons speech

have missed a lot over the years because I really didn't know Amy's wardrobe was from her grandmother!

also disappointed at Penny's pregnancy, but glad they ended with the gang together and not going somewhere separately

I knew they'd fix the lift but couldn't work out how they could make it not silly - think they did well there!

also, when Sheldon gave his speech and was doing the titles, he should have said "My superhero, Penny Hofstader" because it's always Penny who saves him.

I cried and thought the last 2 episodes were perfect. This series has been a real return to form.

Ds and I both predicted a few weeks ago that the series would end with the lift getting fixed and we shrieked loudly when that actually happened.

I thought it was great.

I do however base all my finales on the shit show that was How I Met Your Mother so almost everything looks great compared to that.

I’m glad Raj didn’t go through with his marriage, I was a lot like Penny so I understand how feelings sometimes change if you are actually pregnant, I liked the speeches.

I loved it. The final series was pretty crap with no real story lines, but the finale was great.

Loved how they were all conspiring to slap Sheldon awake 😁

I like that Raj and Howard have "running through the airport kind of love".

I thought it was fab. Just right.
I agree with OP that Penny accepting her pregnancy all fitted with the 'people / life / situations change' theme.

Just caught up with the finale and loved it (May have to watch it again).

I think Penny’s pregnancy was fine, and tied in with the first episode - ‘our kids will be beautiful and clever’. That was one of many little things that was tied up, or alluded to the past.

However, they still kept many of the themes going - Sheldon not coping with change, congratulating Penny, social awkwardness etc going.

His speech was lovely.

I thought it was a lovely ending to the series.

Does anyone know where I can watch the second half of the last series?

For some known only to itself reason, our Sky box didn't pick up the series link when it returned on E4 after its mid-season break. So by the time we realised it was on again we'd missed too many episodes to catch up on.

It's not on All 4 and probably won't be on Netflix for ages!

Catching up way late to this! I'm quite pissed off that everyone had a happy ending except for Raj. Even sodding Stuart! Could it have been SO hard for the writers to have written in a nice Indian (or not) girl for Raj to have met? Not someone weird like Anu. Just so that he finally meets someone. Very unsatisfying. They really didn't know how to write a male Indian character other than someone completely hopeless & clueless, with zero chance of love. Bollocks.

Just finished watching the end of the Young Sheldon series, his mom is so lovely and caring. Makes him even more of a dick for not inviting her to the Nobel ceremony.

I think that it’s been made very clear that if Raj ever finds true love it won’t be with a girl!

Watched this finally last night and both DH and I were in tears at the speech! Perfect ending.
