Ruby was in love with Sean, he wound up her Dad in prison so much he died of a heart attack then got into a relationship with her for her money. It all went tits up and he’d ended up chucking her dads ashes at her, as you do.

Don't remember anything about Sean and Ruby. But upthread someone says it was 12 years ago. How old is Ruby? She must have been a child 12 years ago.

And whats with the messy flat and why did Lola/Billy admit to causing the flood. They could have just denied everything.

I'd forgotten about Ruby / Sean/ Johnny Allen ( her dad) but I think I didn't watch as much in the early 00s and had young kids so I was doing bathtime / bedtime etc when it came on and missed a lot. The free view box recorder and I player makes it easier these days to catch up.
Johnny Allen was a gangster that had a run in with Phil too I think? He wasn't a nice character. Maybe Rubes is more like him?

How the writers seem to think we can remember things that happened years ago is a mystery. They should do flashback episodes really.

Jean is being so nasty to her daughter. It could be the drugs she's on , but still no need to be so snappy.

Ruby is definitely a chip off the old block! We’re seeing the nastier side of her now... she really mucked Jay around before, blowing hot and cold, and now she’s really possessive over him.

Anyone else notice she commented on the workmen going in and out of her flat, complaining ‘Uh, not even as if any of them are fit’ so she still seems comfortable objectifying men. Hopefully jay will see the light soon and ditch her. He’s way too nice!

Its odd how you would imagine Lola to be the nasty one commenting on builders, but its Ruby with her corporate clothes and her own business that is horrible and likes to put people down. Happens in real life too, so i guess it is real in the sense there are a lot of women around like her.
Does make a change from a male possessive ' villian' as well. Her true character is coming out now.
lets hope Jay bails out soon and she doesnt make his life a misery.

Probably, Mrsjayy, i know a few people like this myself ( men and women) or have come across them over the years. think that they are above everyone else. I hate this behaviour, but it does happen.
Never diss anyone on the way up, as you may well meet them on the way back down again!

Ruby is a very unlikeable character, she’s very full of herself and treats others horribly. Maybe they’ll return to that very brief storyline of her sexually assaulting one of her employees. It just seemed too convenient the way she more or less said ‘oh I didn’t realise that was assault’ and then the guy decided not to give a statement against her. After Jay’s horrid experience being put on the sex offenders register for sending a dick pic to a girl who lied about her age, you’d think he’d want to steer clear of anyone who spells trouble

I didn't like Ruby the first time she was in the show and shes even worse this time

It's Fab to see Sean back on our screens though

I think the dentist will cause a lot of trouble for billy over the flooding thing. If the police get involved billy could get sent to prison!

Lola won’t allow billy to go to jail. She will confess if that likely to happen
