Just had a slight panic when I saw the thread was nearly full.

I am now off to check the schedule properly- to see what I'll miss todayGrin

Oh no what's going on? Poor Rafa Sad

That pesky window cleaner Fizzy Grin

mama1980 · 24/04/2019 16:43

A couple of great shots and the crowd seem a bit more involved which is helping Rafa I think.
I'm going to miss the end as need to go take ds1 to dance class - inconsiderate timing Grin

PrivateIsles · 24/04/2019 16:44

Grin at the window cleaner Fizzy - maybe he was trying to get a glimpse of Rafa?!

I'm not able to watch but this all sounds a bit worrying - although I see he's up in the 3rd. Vamos Rafa! Tennis

Fizzywinegum · 24/04/2019 16:51

Rafa’s two breaks up now and serving for the match in this set but it’s all been a bit of a struggle.

The window cleaner was very bothersome - he wanted to bring his ladders through the house!

Fizzywinegum · 24/04/2019 16:54

Phew!

kazzaD66 · 24/04/2019 16:55

Why on earth does the window cleaner want to take his ladders through your house fizzy ? I think you need to find a new window cleaner Hmm

JaneJeffer · 24/04/2019 16:59

I don't want to be window cleanerist but they are always strange people!

Thank goodness Rafa got there in the end.

I hope your DD appreciates your sacrifice mama Grin

JaneJeffer · 24/04/2019 17:01

DS I meant!

PrivateIsles · 24/04/2019 17:22

I don't want to be window cleanerist but they are always strange people Grin

Our window cleaner cycles around all the houses with his ladders wobbling around everywhere Hmm our NDN said he asked her for something stronger once when she offered him a brew! Yes cos alcohol and ladders are such a great combination Hmm

Anyway Grin well done Rafa - enjoyed your commentary Fizzy

JaneJeffer · 24/04/2019 17:31

Fizzywinegum · 24/04/2019 17:54

Who knew that window cleaners were such an odd bunch Grin. Must be all that peering into people’s houses.

Really pleased that Rafa came through but it took him about three hours. I think he needs to improve if he’s to go much further. He just seems so flat - no fist pumping or Vamosing. I’m used to seeing him charge around a clay court but he doesn’t seem to have much energy. If he is injured he might be better off resting in time for the French Open? Who knows Sad

PrivateIsles · 24/04/2019 18:51

Hmm, yes I wonder. He had that long match last week as well, against Pella, didn't he? Hopefully it's just a bit of a glitch. Djok doesn't look his usual self at the moment either.

PrivateIsles · 24/04/2019 18:51

Not that I really mind that, but I was just thinking ahead to the French Open...

magimedi · 24/04/2019 22:34

My window cleaners are lovely - they've been coming here for 14+ years & in the off season they do heavy garden work for me. They are wonderful!

All is pointing to the witch pronouncements of "old mama magi" - Rafa is going to retire.

You heard it here first! {grin]

magimedi · 24/04/2019 22:34
Grin
PrivateIsles · 24/04/2019 22:49

Grin I'm enjoying the window cleaner chat! Yours definitely sounds the best magi

I thought we were all studiously ignoring your prediction about Rafa retiring?! Grin

JaneJeffer · 24/04/2019 22:57

Did you put a spell on them magi?

PrivateIsles · 24/04/2019 23:02
Grin
PrivateIsles · 25/04/2019 08:17

Morning all Tennis
Sadly I've run out of window cleaner chat so I suppose I'll have to talk about tennis Grin

Rafa v Ferrer today, looking forward to that. Also Thiem v Munar - I'm sure Thiem will win that but I really want to see how Munar does against him.

Also Grigor is still in there - go Grigor!!

Raahh · 25/04/2019 08:43

I missed the window cleaner chat- the window cleaner around here is called Mike. Our dog is called Ike. It gets confusing when I shout him in the garden...Grin

I love Ferrer. But I hope Rafa can pull it together today and look a bit more convincing.

Is it wrong of me to say I want Ferrer to win? slinks away quietly Grin

JaneJeffer · 25/04/2019 10:51

Ha ha kazza we all love Ferrer but IT'S RAFA!!

PrivateIsles · 25/04/2019 11:03

Grin I want Rafa to win because otherwise we'll never hear the end of whether he's injured/lost his mojo/ready to retire etc etc etc.

Although I do love Ferrer and it would be good for him to have some big wins on his farewell tour... Just maybe not today!

Raahh · 25/04/2019 11:13

Private exactly- Rafa needs a good win. Would be better if it wasn't against David, but he does need a really solid win!

kazzaD66 · 25/04/2019 11:17

No, sorry, still Vamos David Grin
