Changed the name of this thread as we were very upset with the ending of series 3 out in Bangladesh! Waiting out for news of series 4.

I recall reading Ted Child’s obit a couple of years ago, which said what a good action director he was.

I remember sales reps recharging their enormous phones in the office. They had to be carried in a bag by themselves in those days.

Kate is enjoying herself with the battle script.

I got my first mobile phone in 1995 - it was huge by today's standards but did at least fit in my handbag albeit rather heavy.

Now we are in OG territory - there's a fire!

My first phone was late 1994. It was so heavy it eventually broke the handle of my handbag. It was an Ericsson - museum piece now I suppose.

The problem is that the marines don't believe the padre's claims of there being a fire and aren't taking it seriously.

I reckon I've probably got my phone somewhere maybe in the loft!

The stupid part is that phones are getting bigger again and you can barely fit them in a pocket an apparently they are designed to fit in a man's hand.

We are digressing slightly while the fire burns and all hands are to the pump.

Nice work by the regiment having burned down the old man's home!

A further digression but when there were the moorland fires here last summer due to the heat (and some stupid people have BBQs), the army were there for about 3 weeks helping the fire brigades control them.

Not sure what happened there - the story seemed to jump forward rather quickly.

Donna's impression of Joy is quite funny but poor Joy is offended.

Did you see the story about the two Italians fined 13.5 m euros each for their bbq starting a fire?

Would Rachel really employ Donna? She must be drunk to suggest that.

I do like Colonel Dan - he's got a rather nice swagger about him. Can't blame Rachel for bagging him.

I rather like Colonel Dan too. I bet he's in his 70s by now but very distinguished looking in this.

Donna is putting on her supposed food poisoning. No wonder, it would have been painful sitting through that excruciating Chinese entertainment.

Hmm, that marine is rather tasty actually.

Nice moments of reflection between the various members of the cast and their friendships shine through.

Definitely fancy Colonel Dan.

Joy has lightened up a bit now and is showing her fun side. I reckon the wives are a force to be reckoned with on a night out.
