Changed the name of this thread as we were very upset with the ending of series 3 out in Bangladesh! Waiting out for news of series 4.

Having won the Battle of the Hackle, he’s decided that he’s leaving.

Ilovelblue · 07/05/2019 21:42

Midnight has considered his future prospects and is joining the Royal Signals to get himself a proper trade for when he eventually leaves the army.

I am sure that's a Laura Ashley dress Kate is wearing.

Suddenly they're all mates again.

Kates' wearing something from Laura Ashely by the looks of it. She must have been rifling through Joy's wardrobe.

Sad toast to Vinny...dream, dream dream!

Ilovelblue · 07/05/2019 21:42

Paddy is such a chauvinist. I wonder how much things have changed in the intervening years?

OP posts:
Rhubarb01 · 07/05/2019 21:44

We are doing it again ilove Grin

This was definitely the age before career came first. Paddy thinks she needs to have children because she's 25!

Ilovelblue · 07/05/2019 21:45

We're back in London discussing the hackle!

OP posts:
Rhubarb01 · 07/05/2019 21:45

Sad to see Paddy and Nancy struggling.

Meanwhile back in London - the battle of the cap badges continues.

Rhubarb01 · 07/05/2019 21:46

Nice bit of regimental history here. Pincer movement going on!

Rhubarb01 · 07/05/2019 21:47

Looks like the Colonel's part in this series will be short.

eejittwo · 07/05/2019 21:47

Seem to have missed the bit about Midnight joining the Signals ...

Rhubarb01 · 07/05/2019 21:48

Nice to see the Colonel and is daughter building bridges as well.

Ilovelblue · 07/05/2019 21:48

Should I know this? Why does Kate not wear her beret with the hackle?

OP posts:
Ilovelblue · 07/05/2019 21:49

Is it because she's not allowed on the front line?

OP posts:
Ilovelblue · 07/05/2019 21:50

I see we both recognised the Laura Ashley dress Rhu!

OP posts:
Rhubarb01 · 07/05/2019 21:51

Is Kate possibly not a member of the Fusilliers but some other regiment attached to it? Maybe it's a sexist thing where women can't wear it.

Oh sad, Nancy has left Paddy to go to England with Sheena. He's run after her and she's crying. He loves her, but who knows what will happen in the future.

Rhubarb01 · 07/05/2019 21:52

It's the sad music at the end.

Ilovelblue · 07/05/2019 21:53

So that's another episode under our belts.

When are we watching next? Thursday 16th? Or was eejit struggling next week? Sorry, can't remember.

I have just realised that it is Eurovision week next week - sorry to have to admit to my annual guilty pleasure but there will be a semi-final on both Tuesday and Thursday before the grand final on Saturday (starts at 8pm). I usually join in the Eurovision thread. Mind you, I may be wishing to stick pins in my eyes and ears by 9pm, so I reckon I will be happy to do the watchalong at 9pm and catch up the rest later. Either day will do for me.

eejittwo · 08/05/2019 07:11

See another bit I missed was the toasting Vinny with Kate's Laura Ashley dress.

I can't do next Thursday - prior engagement which is NOT Eurovision, so Tuesday would work best for me, please

Ilovelblue · 08/05/2019 09:06

Tuesday is fine for me eejit.

Morning, ladies. Are we all set for this evening?
I binge-read the 7 new chapters of Ghosts - interesting, but what's this 'I let her down' line from Elvis, if not just a line to talk Charlie down? Elvis only let Georgie down ONCE, and even then for a good reason. It was Georgie who had to change, not Elvis. Heck, saving her life on how many occasions is NOT letting her down.
Rant over.

Ilovelblue · 14/05/2019 19:39

I'll be there at 9. I feel your pain eejit!

OP posts:
Rhubarb01 · 14/05/2019 19:59

Evening ladies. Will be with you at 9pm. Just giving myself a shot of Eurovision first to get ready for the weekend. As previously advised, I reckon 60 minutes will be enough for now!

Rhubarb01 · 14/05/2019 20:59

I'm here and I've had enough of Eurovision for now - thank goodness for the discussion thread.

Ilovelblue · 14/05/2019 21:00

Ready and waiting.
