It must be difficult for someone like the colonel who is used to being in charge and having his commands obeyed, to realise that you can't control everything.

Poor Sheena. I think the actress played her well and in the last episode she showed great dignity. She's realised she needs to be with her family.

In some of the later series (no spoilers, honestly), the children of some of the senior NCOs go off the rails and their fathers, who are used to everyone jumping at their orders, really struggle with that.

Donna discovers what Sheena has done in the flat and that she's hit the bottle. Donna trashed her own accommodation a while back - I think now she's a mother, she's really grown up.

This reminds me of the time Joy helped Donna sort it all out. I'm guessing Joy or the actress who played her wasn't available for the start of this series. I know she appears later - I wonder if she was on a career/maternity break at the time.
