What children's programmes do you really hate?

For me - anything on commercial TV - I WILL NOT EVER NEVER WATCH ADVERTS on Citv or Nickleodeon and not even Channel 5's Milkshake (and there's plenty for the Dads to be interested in there) SO DON'T EVEN TRY.

Also from CBeebies:
Bits and Bobs - this trugs me right off with its crappy, repetitive, unimaginative rubbish and poor animation (I think it's over now - let's pray it never returns).
Big Cook, Little Cook - these guys clearly hate their own programme: does nobody realise that these guys are the comedians behind Electric Forecast and this is just the day job because they've got mortgages?
Higgledy House - where do I start? Even DD1 gets up to find the toybox when this comes on.

If I hadn't deleted commercial children's TV from the digibox altogether, I suspect Barney the dinosaur, Angelina Ballerina plus adverts would make me donate the TV to charity so she'd have to play with some of the mountains of unused toys instead...

the DS's LOVE CiTV - horrid henry and grizzly tales when DS1 comes home from school are a MUST have in this house.

And Curious George is well loved by DS2 too

I hate most of them - I can tolerate Come Outside, Tots Tv, Rosey and Jim, Tikkabilla and the Hoobs. And Smart - I quite like that.

The rest drive me mad.

I particularly hate Big cook Little Cook, and The Fimbles.

In The Night Garden - I don't get it!!! Think you must have to be under 6, or on drugs to like that one!

The Tweenies - absolutely loathe and detest them. Dd thinks they are grrrreat.

Luckily my kids haven't twigged there is such a thing as tv channel with kids programs. We have tapes that they watch sometimes and are happily oblivious to the rest (evil cackle - what a mean mum I am )

Wonder pets is my own tv low point.

I was explaining a simulated exercise which I wanted some of my junior lawyers to particpate in the other day, and when I had explained to them what it involved and that I would be reviewing the exercise to assess them, one of the junior lawyers said "But Anchovy, what do you want?" and quick as a flash I just went "What do I want? Teamwork!"

[Blush] It just slipped out. I didn't actually sing it though. Fortunately they are all too young and happening to watch Wonderpets, so I think I got away with it!
