Last week Shirley was drowning her sorrows about hev’s anniversary on the park bench and this week she’s welcoming Ben back with open arms and buying him drinks!

Also, Ben sees his dad being hassled for money and says “I want in” 😂😂😂

Woody!!! I knew he reminded me of someone.
Ben said he'd learnt a thing or 2 in Portugal. So guessed that was where he ended up from France yet he seems to have a plan with Lola who actually doesn't seem keen on it!

The BBC didn't want the previous actor to return. The official line is 'we wanted to take Ben in a different direction'. My take on it is that they wanted someone hot and who could be taken seriously for dark storylines.

Strangely enough in December 2017 I was in a restaurant, next to a table of two women who were discussing their client Harry Reid (previous Ben). Apparently he was getting a lot of threats and stalking. I wonder if that is part of why he left.

Has Ben really beengone four years? Jay was devastated when he left, they interacted like two ex colleagues instead of the ‘akways brithers’ thing they had going before.

I never cared about Lola and can’t figure out why they brought her back. Does anyone even cast her a thought never mind miss her on the show and bring her back? I suppose there is at least potentially some depth to her unlike the sisters who are like kids from an amateur drama group.

Ben flashing around thousands of pounds? He left with loads of stolen goods. Why didn’t Phil mention that? Will Kathy put her necklace back on? I smiled when he said we could open chicken shops Grin

It’s definitely not been 4 years. Ben was sleeping with wilmott browns son Luke before he was “disappeared” by Phil and that was only about a year ago.

The mention of dexter made my head spin a bit - I'd totally forgotten about Cora's adopted daughter and dexter was her son I think who left with Lola and lexi, that apparently didn't work out, but Lola didn't seem to be there by her own choice did she? Not sure I can be arsed with the new hard man gansta Ben Hmm. Also the school interview with honey billy and "william' was cringe-tastic, but I loved billy not correcting her honeyisms- drug donkeys! Grin

Then Benis still in danger and being chased for the proceeds of all that jewellery. I’m sure gangs that have been ripped off don’t get the ferry to France and say ‘oh no we lost him’ and just give up and even if they did surely word would get around that he is back soon enough????

Sophie gave Kathy the cafe back (because James w-b had taken it in the great Walford buy-out) I think - I don't think she gave her any cash
