How did miniRaahh get on at her appointment Raahh? Is she still blocked up, bless her.

told we were told she was very blocked up and her bowel is distended. She is due to be admitted to the hospital for a few days towards the end of the month for them to sort her.

But, tmi alert she was unwell this morning and I've kept her off- and I managed to get her to go ( when she was in pain and trying to withold) and she managed a massive poo that blocked the loo.
Was horrible to see, and she was in pain, but it's a good start.

Raahh oh the poor thing. We call those pan jammers in our neck of the woods. Tone lowered.

The hope is that they can 're-train' the bowel. The main problem it she won't go because she just associates it with pain. And has a lot of accidents that she doesn't even realise she has, because all the 'needing to go' sensations have gone. Which at 8, is difficult.

But, it will only work if she goes- and if she hadn't been at home today, and had been at school, she would definitely not have done what she did today- she would just have forced it back up, as it were. .

(And I can't be with her when she's at school, so...).

It's all bloody exhausting. And I'm amazed she's never ended up with either piles, or a water infection.

Anyway- enough of my family medical tales of woe (though I have scan at flipping 8am on Sunday morning, how unsociable is that!)
