Thanks Jane it's been a boring, tough week. She's been a trouper though.

And the doggy went to the groomer, and looks lovely. (But is traumatised, as he hates going, but she is really good with him). He was very happy to see me. He smells better too.

Just catching up with the thread and the tennis (we only got home yesterday) - I think it was a leg problem for Rafa, he pulled up in like the first game and has had the trainer on.....but......fingers crossed he might come through this. He isn't looking too comfortable out there though.

Rafa’s withdrawn because of injury . Not surprised but hope he manages to recover, especially in time for the clay court season. So Roger’s definitely in the final - raonic and Thiem have just started their semi.

I hope Rafa is not injured. I definitely can't cope with a final anywhere close to how this year's Aussis open went. I also don't want him to risk injury by fighting too hard on a surface he isn't as good on , so close to the clay season, with a lot at stake.

The doubles was definitely on Prime yesterday but don't ask me how I found it it was just on when I pressed the "live coverage" button! Hopefully they will show the other doubles matches as well.

Such a shame about Rafa but yes it wasn't a surprise really. He made some really good points in his press conference yesterday that there's no other sport that plays so much on such a punishing surface (hard court) and that the tour should be split more evenly between the surfaces. I think grass would obviously be harder to hold more tournaments on, but clay and some nice soft indoor carpets would be good!

I feel for him but he made the right decision, the clay season isn't far off so he needs to take the long view etc. Such a shame though. I wonder if Thiem or Raonic would beat Roger though? Maybe...

Unfortunately, I don't think it matters which of the two Fed plays. He'll beat them both, esp as he has an extra rest day now. He's probably hoping for a long 3 setter between Thiem and Raonic
