Brew

I think Will could make a rap from that title Grin.

I'm just warming up/drying out after watching dd1 play football and walking the dog.

I've sent dh out for snacks Grin.

I don't think I can actually remember any of the acts so far. That's not unusual, as S'Tom might say.

See y'all later!

No platypus, you just lived in Scotland. It's all the same !

nancy75 · 26/01/2019 21:01

Grin piggy I NEED the posh voice! I have so much trouble with accents my grandad was from Glasgow & I never understood a word he said ( I think mostly it was swearing!)

ThePlatypusAlwaysTriumphs · 26/01/2019 21:01

Noisy Grin

Raahh · 26/01/2019 21:01

piggy Grin. But generally Scottish accents ain't that different (apart from Aberdonians!)

NoisyBrain · 26/01/2019 21:03

nancy my dear old grandad was a Geordie. His accent wasn't too hard to follow but his next door neighbour was a former miner and uber-Geordie . Mum used to have to translate Grin

GoldenSyrupLion · 26/01/2019 21:03

This time next week Wine

Piggywaspushed · 26/01/2019 21:03

Billy Connolly did a great thing on the recnt BBC programme about why swearing means so much to Glaswegians.

Petalflowers · 26/01/2019 21:03

I thought he had a nice voice, and sang well, but expected didn’t feel the song went anywhere. It needed more depth.

FreezerBird · 26/01/2019 21:04

What a prize! Holiday and a used car.

The80sweregreat · 26/01/2019 21:04

When do they do anything exciting?
When's the next ' battle rounds'
When's the final so the winner can drop into obscurity the following day?
I fear it's a long way off yet.

NoisyBrain · 26/01/2019 21:05

Petal yes, it was a little lightweight

ThePlatypusAlwaysTriumphs · 26/01/2019 21:05

Swearing is a part of our language in the West of Scotland! But I am posh enough to rein it in when I need to Grin

Piggywaspushed · 26/01/2019 21:05

I can't say I agree with that platypus but, anyway, the places are hardly all the same. I await someone coming on and saying they are from a small village 'in England'.

Raahh · 26/01/2019 21:06

80s. Grin

Suddenly, I miss Gavin.

Piggywaspushed · 26/01/2019 21:06

I'm so posh , I had a boyfriend from Bearsden. Or maybe Milngavie.

The80sweregreat · 26/01/2019 21:08

We had yards of posts about Gavin and his basement of doom! Was funny.
Tom, she's welsh!

Piggywaspushed · 26/01/2019 21:08

Wake up S'Tom! Welsh alert!!

FreezerBird · 26/01/2019 21:08

WELSH KLAXON

ThePlatypusAlwaysTriumphs · 26/01/2019 21:08

piggy the accents are slightly different (DH is a Fifer, and I'm sorta Glaswegian) but there is no one from Scotland that I can't understand!
