Brew

I think Will could make a rap from that title Grin.

I'm just warming up/drying out after watching dd1 play football and walking the dog.

I've sent dh out for snacks Grin.

I don't think I can actually remember any of the acts so far. That's not unusual, as S'Tom might say.

See y'all later!

I’m on a train on my way back from oxford street - it was mayhem & all Dd bought was a jumper she could have got in the local top shop.
I’m also struggling to remember we anyone we’ve seen this year, it’s all a weird sounding blur Grin

Raahh · 26/01/2019 17:05

nancy oh, I love shopping trips like that Grin.

'weird sounding blur' sums it up pretty well, I think.

Of course, for various reasons, I have not done dry January- I usually do it by accident. Grin

I have had quite a stressful couple of weeks, and compensated by eating and drinking a huge amount of rubbish.
Add to that the fact I've been a total tennis watching couch potato for a fortnight, I feel like Jabba the Hut.

I need to sort myself out Grin.

but not this week. Grin

Raahh we’ve been walking round the shops for nearly 5 hours, I’m ready to strangle Dd.
Diet’s gone out of the window, stopped for a drink & cake (that cost £21 for 2 drinks & 2bits Of cake !!!) Dd now wondering if we should do bluewater tomorrow - she’d better learn to drive herself there, I’m going on strike Grin

nancy75 · 26/01/2019 17:11

The tennis has been good hasn’t it? I like it when there are a few upsets!
Feeling sorry for poor Andy Murray, I’m not his biggest fan but he shouldn’t have to retire like that

Raahh · 26/01/2019 17:46

nancy the tennis has been very good! Lot's of upsets, yes. I'm not a Murray fan, but I do think it's very sad how it has ended for him- though the stuff at the end of his last match made it look more like he'd died , than just announced his intention to retire !Shock

I hate shopping with dd1. She never knows what she wants, and always comes away with something I know she will hardly wear. To be fair, I hate clothes shopping too. Grin

Oh, I love Andy Murray. I took a picture of the telly when he won Wimbledon. When he cried about Dunblane in a TV interview, I just wanted to reach into the TV and cuddle him. And he's a feminist. What's not to love?

nancy75 · 26/01/2019 17:52

Piggy, he is great for women in sport, I do like that about him - I work in tennis & he has been brilliant for British tennis, the amount of people that started playing after his first Wimbledon win was amazing!

Roussette · 26/01/2019 18:13

I'm in - last dry Saturday night!
I've had a headache all day from sipping on eldeflower cordial last night, sooooo not fair!

I can't remember any of the acts either. Not one!

Thanks for thread Raahh, hope you've dried out! It's blowing a hoolie here

Raahh · 26/01/2019 18:18

I'm just fans of other players, that's all.

I need to be able to get up in the morning - it's going to be a big match!Grin

Anyway, sorry for derailing it with tennis chat.
( though The Voice hasn't really given us much to get excited about So far this series!Grin)

Roussette im almost dry.Grin I forgot my gloves at dd's match and my hands went so numb they were blue.

She got girl of the match for nearly breaking her nose for a great save, so it was worth going( sort of).

Raahh · 26/01/2019 19:07

I am already falling asleep Grin

Does having a peach and Amaretto yogurt constitute falling off the wagon??

Hi all: Nancy, I hate shopping for clothes; sounds an expensive
trip! I need new clothes but just the thought of it..
At least at bluewater your indoors and can wait for dd in the warm!
I can remember the bloke in white last week. That's it.

Raahh · 26/01/2019 20:04

Olly realises this is the wrong show for finding the next big star, right? Grin

OP posts:
The80sweregreat · 26/01/2019 20:05

She looks annoying.
Olly is deluded about this show clearly!
Somebody tell him.

Raahh · 26/01/2019 20:05

oh dear- that you tube video.

OP posts:
Raahh · 26/01/2019 20:06

80s I think that confirms she's annoying.

Be awful if her mum wasted all that money coming over, wouldn't it. ?

OP posts:
The80sweregreat · 26/01/2019 20:07

Nice hair.
Mum looks a ' tiger mum' sort!

nancy75 · 26/01/2019 20:07

Sod the idea of sitting on a plane for 30 hours to watch this

Raahh · 26/01/2019 20:08

I'm not sure I like this.

Olly is thinking 'one for the bus'.

OP posts:
The80sweregreat · 26/01/2019 20:08

She looks a bit like Jennifer Saunders.

Raahh · 26/01/2019 20:08

nancy Grin

it's what skype is for, really.

Don't do it, Olly!
