@Chungkingosaurus

is the baby who plays Belle the same actress who has been in it all these years? I cannot see a resemblance in her face.
No the current actress started in 2005.

I've started fast forwarding through the kidnap stuff - it's been going on forever!

OnTheBoardwalk · 21/06/2021 21:31

With only a couple of episodes a week at this time the kidnap story must have been going on for YEARS

it’s not even we cared about who was kidnapped

JaneJeffer · 22/06/2021 14:20

Mother of God this detective is useless.

Mogloveseggs · 22/06/2021 18:03

I've just got to where Chris has been kidnapped. Remember this at the time it did go on for ever!

OnTheBoardwalk · 22/06/2021 22:22

Zoe should have shot both of them!

RaraRachael · 22/06/2021 22:29

What an awful episode. Zoe was driving me mad with the continual shouting and wailing. The overacting detective using every cliche in the book was terrible!

JaneJeffer · 22/06/2021 23:02

@OnTheBoardwalk

Zoe should have shot both of them!

DD saw me watching and commented " god, is he STILL in that cellar"! Grin

DeltaPlus · 24/06/2021 10:58

Woman playing Zoe is a terrible actress, her scenes of crying in the cellar were cringable. Had to fast forward.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 02/07/2021 20:35

I haven't watched Classic Emmerdale for ages .....lo and behold we're coming up for Christmas again.
Asley trying to galvanise everyone into action for the annual festive event
And (checked on TV Guide) it'll be Emmerdale Christmas I think on Wednesday
Ho Ho Ho

cherrytree63 · 03/07/2021 09:48

How come Graham is living in Rachel's house? Surely she hadn't made out a will leaving it to him.
I can't believe I must have sat through the Chris hostage story when it was first in, thank heavens for fast forward!

RaraRachael · 03/07/2021 19:43

Yes that does seem strange about Graham in Rachel's house. She probably hadn't made a will as she was young, but surely it would go to Joseph in some sort of trust until he was older?

I vaguely remember the hostage stuff but can't imagine how boring it must have been to last for 2 months in real time.

SlipperyCustomer · 04/07/2021 10:22

I think but not sure that Chris said to Graham that he could continue renting the house, I presume it now belongs to Joseph

ancientcreature · 07/07/2021 10:31

urgh, that creep at the Woolpack party!

I do wish people would stop calling Kelly a "stunner", she has a face like a bulldog licking piss off a nettle

RaraRachael · 07/07/2021 10:39

Sadly that kind of creepy behaviour was all too common back in the day. I know what you mean about Kelly - my granny would have called her a sulky little madam. Poor Roy - I feel so sorry for him. He's one of the genuinely nice guys on the show,

Mogloveseggs · 09/07/2021 18:59

Just got up to Christmas Eve. I feel sorry for Kelly in a way but Roy does not deserve it at all.
I miss Ashley in the present day he was a great character.

OnTheBoardwalk · 09/07/2021 22:44

Did I miss New Year?

WheresThatCatGoneNow · 11/07/2021 14:34

It's not long now until Charity rocks up, is it?

March 2000, she drives into the yard in a tatty VW Golf.

I'm sure I remember watching that episode the first time around!

With a dangerously choppy blonde haircut, and a definite attitude.

She made quite an entrance!

WheresThatCatGoneNow · 11/07/2021 14:37

I'm a gay man, so I'm not remembering because I fancied her!

I just remember thinking how fabulous that haircut looked! Grin
