Yes, why are none using. Tailors tacks? My parents had a little gadget to do them.

Why did they choose such patterned fabrics?

I managed to stitch a dress to the carpet the other day.

I was taught to do darts using tailor tacks, but why oh why have they put Shetland on at the same time, the only two programmes o want to watch this week

This just takes me back. I used to sew a lot, made my own clothes. Then I had DCs, I moved house, lost the foot pedal to my sewing machine, had no time and haven't done a thing for years and years! But I love this programme

I can do tailor tacks!

Learnt tailor tacks and darts in Home Economics aged 11! We made a pencil skirt.

My first impressions of Joe are good. I think he's going to be a good replacement for Claudia.

I always do tailor's tacks, it's the way I was taught at school. I'm intrigued to learn another way though.

They all got carried away with the pretty fabric in the haberdashery - no one chose a sensible plain fabric. Pattern matching nightmare

I'm meant to be sewing right now - need to start finish my dress for Saturday. Making it up as I go along so three hours forty five really won't do it!

It would take me a week to make a dress like that. And it would be nowhere near as good.

That spotty dress was never going to work, far too much stretch. Some odd pattern choices, I think I'd have gone more retro. Good efforts though for the first challenge. (Better than last night's Masterchef...)
