I do NOT like Alexei's sleeve tattoo.

SoupDragon · 19/02/2019 21:27

"Look like the animal is bursting out of the child" !!

Binglebong · 19/02/2019 21:28

Big stitches Bit of fun. Biggest you can.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 19/02/2019 21:28

NEVER IGNORE THE JUDGES DEMANDS!

With that gold scaley material she could have made a Great Gold Whale . . . or something . . .

BitOfFun · 19/02/2019 21:29

Great tip, thank you!

Wolfcub · 19/02/2019 21:29

OMG Sheila is sewing big bird

Binglebong · 19/02/2019 21:29

I dont think Mercedes really listened to the challenge.

cheesenpickles · 19/02/2019 21:30

Also "excessively boned" Grin

FuzzyPuffling · 19/02/2019 21:30

Princess Sunshine would probably get a slap from me. I do not want some yellow furry child cheering me up.

glamorousgrandmother · 19/02/2019 21:30

You can sew stretch fabrics with any machine with a zig zag stitch. The overlocker does the seams and finishing at the same time - if you can get the tension right - but it's not essential.

dillite · 19/02/2019 21:30

four scientific purposes wink wink, cough cough Grin

fuzzy and hallsall I work in court where I get to hear about penises and places that they have been stuck into all day most days, so everything looks like a penis these days

Now, here's a question, would you rather sew fake fur or velvet? I think I would have to choose velvet.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 19/02/2019 21:30

I've never sewed fake fur. But I do love a fake fur coat.

I notice Joe toyed with the idea of playing with Hat Guy's comments about excessive boning and though better of it. Go on Joe, it's past 9. Wink

Halsall · 19/02/2019 21:30

cheese, it really isn't. It whizzes away very quickly but you get used to it (and you can practice lots!). It's great really. Fantastic for running up stretch clothing really quickly.

BitOfFun · 19/02/2019 21:30

Was that Rod Hull's Emu head?

cheesenpickles · 19/02/2019 21:30

Thank you @glamorousgrandmother

SubisYodrethwhenLarping · 19/02/2019 21:31

I would make some furry slipper boots with claws

That look like a monster like gruffalo

There is a couple of non-mythical beasts here.

Some aren't remotely beasts at all . . .

cheesenpickles · 19/02/2019 21:31

Oooh! I always wondered as people who use it looks so confident but all the spoils and the blade seem intimidating!

cheesenpickles · 19/02/2019 21:31

*spools

Wolfcub · 19/02/2019 21:31

That bird is great

FuzzyPuffling · 19/02/2019 21:32

Glue. Glue. Juliette used glue!

TheSassyAssassin · 19/02/2019 21:32

Distracted by life (how rude of life!) but am here and watching. Loved the bunny hoodie! What the hell is that pic on the previous page? ShockShockShock

Oooh who's a pretty boy Patrick? Wink The bird costume is v inventive!

Halsall · 19/02/2019 21:33

I mean it's not tricky! OK, threading it is rather, erm, interesting but even that can be surmounted with a few shortcuts.....

SchadenfreudePersonified · 19/02/2019 21:33

Sheila's looks like some sort of little viking

glamorousgrandmother · 19/02/2019 21:33

Using the overlocker isn't too difficult it's the setting up - threading, tension etc.
