Couldn’t Amy have just rung her mum and said how’s Kyle ? I hate this shoehorned storyline

It’s so stupid. Let’s say Amy agreed to come back with Kerry. She is legally a completely stranger to Kyle. (As well as an actual stranger) She has no say whatsoever in who cares for him. She gave him up for adoption so she lost all parental responsibility. Social services wouldn’t even take her views into account. Legally they couldn’t. He has had 5 different legal guardians since Amy had him adopted. (All of which have either died or abandoned him) Zak and Lisa are the people social services have to speak to about their views and they’ve already done that is this shite dream world Kerry is living in where Amy would come and live with her and play happy families with Kyle?

The poor child in his 7 short years has had

Amy
Adoptive mum and dad (deceased when he was a toddler)
Adoptive granny Joanie (deceased when he was a about 5)
Legal guardians Zak and Lisa (have abandoned him to go to Scotland?)
And then Moira and Cain (Moira seems to have disappeared too to look after sick nana Barton)

That’s 8 carers in 7 years and Kerry wants to disrupt his life again because she heard Debbie utter something in anger about Cain? Does she really think SS would uproot this child based on that?

I wish they would finish up some of the storylines properly like the Joe Tate saga instead of bringing in even more characters and having all these bitty scenes which then get left for weeks.

Why don't they give Sam & Lydia a story for instance?

I agree Maxi plus Amy seems to be settled in Belfast with a job she likes. What would she do in Emmerdale? I suppose she could doss around and go to daytime parties like the rest of them

yeah she could! Day time parties that last 20 minutes because the toddler hosts can’t stop bickering.

Where is Billay living? surely he can't afford a permanent bunk at the B&B on a zero hours driver job? Jessie must be the most workshy head in the country.

Do you think Sharma's sweet factory is the most ridiculous soap land factory. We never see the inside of the production line or any of the workers, no one ever gets a job in that part. Do they employ oompa loompas? Also, the packing area we do see, everyone chats is dead slow and stop.The choclate and sweets would cost a fortune at that rate of work. Makes Underworld in Corrie look like a sweatshop.

There's lots of behind-the-scenes Emmerdale people on Instagram today. Nice to see them.

I loved last nights episode thought it was really well done.

I thought April's story was a bit heavy-handed but the writers meant well.
It was a really good episode in general - moving and surprising - and I liked the sisterhood theme (for International Women's Day).

Just caught up on last nights while DP is at work. Fighting back the tears, also my uncle died in November from the condition Lisa has.
So pleased for Chas, I just hope they give her and Paddy a happy ending and everything is okay with this baby
