Told as Sid and Zara went into the house he said "where's Daniel" she said "he's not back" and I said "he's bound to be back".

Agree told. Them and the late lamented Kirsty MacColl are my top faves.

Oh Kirsty . It's 18 years since she died (18th December). She played a gig at my university- she was touring her 'Electric Landlady' album (one of my favourites, took it with me when ds was born) and had just released 'Walking down Madison'. Famous singers never played my university . . Unless you count Doctor and the Medics at my Freshers week (and they only had one real hit - and I was too drunk to remember the gig).

I also bought the album the Beautiful South album that 'Need a little time' was on with the Our Price vouchers that Barclays bribed me with , for getting my student account with them when I first went to uni in October 1990.. (The other album I got was The La's )- had to wait til I could get a lift with the rugby team to Cardiff to spend them - we were in the back of beyond in Lampeter).

Ooooh lucky you raahh I think our fresher's band was Jefferson airplane. Weird (but it was at college).
I have all Kirsty's albums and love them all. She was such a talent. I've even got her biography written by her mum.

I'm another Beautiful South fan. We've been to see Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbot quite a few times in recent year, they're absolutely brilliant live.
Always loved Kirsty McColl too, she's very much missed.

Woooooah I have to catch up if Zara and Sid get it in it have I totally misunderstood?!?

oh yes, Daniel who has been taking lessons in hypocrisy and santimoniousness ( is that a word??) from Ruhma- will have forgotten all about Cherry and Merlot o clock.

Just catching up as my mum has been in hospital this week and will hopefully be out on Christmas Eve. She had a routine blood test at the GPs and was called hours later to go into hospital for a blood transfusion. My rage at Daniel is offering light relief.

Yikes cloudy hope your mum is ok. Hugs.

Thanks Fuzzy she's on the mend and thankfully the hospital is only a 15 minute drive away.
