Has Daniel resurfaced yet? What's the story? Is everyone sympathising with Zara and calling Daniel names?

Fuzzy only Mrs T knows that Daniel walked out, Zara had to tell her when she caught her forging his signature. Everyone else thinks he’s ill - including Val who made a large container of chicken soup for him. He’s contacted Mrs T and has offered to pay for locum cover.
