Found this on a flick through of Channels and got drawn in very quickly ... nearly finished episode and will def be watching again.... not just because I have loved Adrian D since Hear My Song 😍😍

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/11/2018 22:09

Watching - it's good but gah the bloody adverts are absolutely ruining it for me.
Every 5 minutes!

Will record it after tonight as can't bear all the interruptions.

tinstar · 19/11/2018 23:03

I enjoyed this but agree about the adverts! Will definitely be watching the rest on catch up. Great to have a drama on consecutive nights - I can never remember what's happened when I have to wait a week for the next episode of something.

Of course anything with Adrian Dunbar in is worth a watch Wink.

UrsulaPandress · 20/11/2018 06:33

I too have loved Adrian Dunbar since Hear My Song. What a bloody fabulous film that was.

Optimist1 · 20/11/2018 14:03

First episode was gripping; I'll stick with it. I'm working on the theory that Cat's dad didn't murder her mum, and am currently considering her sister as a possible suspect. Anyone with me on that?

dontcallmelen · 20/11/2018 16:13

I’m thinking it’s to obvious that the dad killed her, dunno though found it a bit confusing.

beanaseireann · 20/11/2018 18:40

It has been shown on Irish television very recently. It's worth watching. Hard to believe Cat is a London girl. She certainly has nailed the accent. Adrian Dunbar is a great actor.

tinstar · 20/11/2018 19:07

Maybe the twist is nobody killed her - it really was an accident? Maybe they'll drive each other mad suspecting each other?!

beanaseireann · 20/11/2018 19:08

I know but I'm not telling

tinstar · 20/11/2018 19:12

But is it good Bean?

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/11/2018 20:46

I’m enjoying

Just a shame it clashes every night with celeb

Agree too obvious for dad to have killed her

I think he’s protecting one of the siblings

WendyCope · 20/11/2018 20:56

Loved this too! Think it is the Dad though. Don't like the sister at all.

Willyoubuymeahouseofgold · 20/11/2018 21:43

UrsulaPandress

Budgieinaberet · 20/11/2018 22:25

Adrian Dunbar is horrible in this, and the Uncle is positively revolting.
I'd never have guessed Cat was from London.
I did laugh when Jim assumed that the brother was doing drugs

UrsulaPandress · 20/11/2018 23:38

He looks so young!

I'm going to have to find it and rewatch.

FawnDrench · 21/11/2018 14:21

It's all getting a bit silly now...

Doesn't anyone have a bloody comb?

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/11/2018 15:43

so now the dad is protecting/taking the blame for cat

the plot thickens

uncle is a perve

why does dad keep lying about where he was

OP posts:
Optimist1 · 21/11/2018 16:00

If Cat lets her dad take control of the situation she'll certainly regret it! He'll do as he said and take the blame, thus having something to hold over her for ever more. Alternatively he'll tell the police that he saw Cat run over pervy uncle and drive off, in which case she'll be in deep shit. Don't drive off, Cat - face the music!

Cagliostro · 21/11/2018 16:04

Thanks for thread. Not watched anything on 5 for ages

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/11/2018 17:54

5 usually has good dramas

I like their afternoon film

OP posts:
dontcallmelen · 21/11/2018 20:18

I’m thinking now, ours it be the sister who did as she has the same illness & yer man is covering for her & now Cat, maybe he isn’t the bad guy after all.🤔

dontcallmelen · 21/11/2018 20:19

could

QueenoftheNights · 22/11/2018 10:42

I'm loving this and feel it's a shame it's 'hidden' away on channel 5.
It's as good as other dramas like Bodyguard and the Missing.

Adrian Dunbar is a superb and underrated actor.

I think there are some dodgy parts- for example if you run someone over,at speed, your car with be covered in their DNA and also damaged! You can't just 'swap' cars and say it was someone else. So the plot falls down there. There wasn't a single dent on her bumper.

I'd like some light relief from the dingy house interiors we are getting - feels a bit contrived.

I don't think the father did it. I think the clue was when he said he would cover up for his daughter when she hit the guy- ' because she was his daughter'- and I think the culprit is the other daughter. He's covering for her.

tinstar · 22/11/2018 12:45

I agree it's too obvious for him to have been the murderer. But I think he's probably swindling old ladies out of their savings - a few comments from him about not having any money (where does his GP salary go?!) and house visits to the elderly. There's clearly something not right about him to invite the vile pervy uncle into the house. Unless .... he really loves his dd and is being unpleasant to her to make her leave so she doesn't get drawn into whatever it is that's being covered up?

Whatever, I'm absolutely loving it. Have started a few tv dramas lately and abandoned them after a few episodes. This one really has me hooked!
