I think Charles dance last week was second from the leader board - not under marked in my opinion.
He should be safe this week as his dance was one of the stronger performances and hopefully, he will have gained voters from the previous week.

GraveyardPlotsAndDoomedScreams · 27/10/2018 21:57

Probably Ashley. I'm not sure how they made her look so lumpen!

Theromanempire · 27/10/2018 21:58

I'm still not sure if I like the couple's choice. It seems like it's an early opportunity for them to do a showdance Hmm

Encyclo · 27/10/2018 22:02

I wonder will voters respond badly to Craig’s robust comments? Could work in Seann and Katya’s favour. She looked pretty beat down by the end of the show. She’s always so extra in the Clauditorium, but tonight she was just so low energy. I felt so bad for her.

PumpkinSpiceAmericanoNoSugar · 27/10/2018 22:14

I didn't like Ashley and Pasha's Charleston. I've watched it back a few times on YouTube and I can see that it's technically excellent but I just don't like it, I didn't enjoy watching it and found it a bit muddled and annoying. I don't know why, perhaps it was a combination of really hating the costumes, the music, the set and Pasha's huge belly.

Vegisgrowingwell · 27/10/2018 22:23

Finally delurking!!

I agree about the Charleston, can't put my finger on why but I just didn't enjoy it. Also found Joe's foxtrot dull and couldn't see why the judges were so excited about it! Loved Faye's and thought Lauren had improved.

Agree about Katya, she looked sad. I thought at the end Anton was having a word with her in the background.

SheStoodInTheStorm · 27/10/2018 22:50

I didn't like the Charleston either! When I've watched back other brilliant ones (such as Caroline's), Ashley's just isn't up there for me.

Samcro · 27/10/2018 22:51

we voted
Stacey (my fave) Danny (Dh;s) and Sean.

i wish I could warm to Lauren but just can't. Ashley was great, but she would be.

BaldricksCoffee · 27/10/2018 22:56

Nor me, maybe because I didn't actually feel that it was all that much like a Charleston.
Loved Faye's jazz number though, I like a bit of Fosse and they did it really well.

SoupDragon · 27/10/2018 23:05

Hilarious that Charles got 25 again!

It was easy it? Even he seemed to find it amusing.

IPromiseIWontBeNaughty · 27/10/2018 23:07

Ive not enjoyed this series much. Think the Snean & Katya thing has spoilt it for me. But I didn’t enjoy last years much either. I don’t rate Shirley & I don’t like the way the dynamic has changed with her arrival. Disliking Darcey at the moment. What was she on tonight? Nasty. At least Craig criticises but then tries to end on a positive. Mind you I was cheering him tonight with Snean!

Katya May well be said but really only has herself (& Snean) to blame....

Hepzibar · 27/10/2018 23:11

The judges had the chance to get rid of Sean 3 weeks ago by scoring him in bottom half, chance to get rid last week in DO and didn't, let's hope they do the decent thing this week and get rid of the slime ball

Purplemond · 27/10/2018 23:17

Katya looks like she is hating it, It must be a uncomfortable year for her, her first year all the fun with Ed balls, last year she won and this year constant abuse on social media because of something in her personal life

PumpkinSpiceAmericanoNoSugar · 27/10/2018 23:18

I was a bit underwhelmed by Joe's Foxtrot, but I like it much better after watching it again. I think it was the music that was throwing me, it was more of a Tango tune than a Foxtrot. If you watch it without the music then the in-hold parts are lovely and would have been perfect with some more romantic, traditional type music.

Pupsiecola · 27/10/2018 23:23

Just watching on catch up. I'm sure Darcy's dress is ripped. At the very beginning when the judges come out, on her right hand side just above the hip.

ElspethFlashman · 27/10/2018 23:54

I was pleasantly surprised by tonight's routines. No Frankenstein! Poor old Ranj picked the short straw with the outfits though.

I quite liked all the routines. I seem to have developed a frightening new appreciation for KFGs choreography because he does admittedly make the celeb the star. He gives them some awesome fierce empowered moments. Dammit Kevin, don't make me admire you!

I'm a bit dubious about Ashley to say the least, but I do appreciate her athleticism. Her legs are so strong that she can jump like a kangaroo!

I still have zero interest in Joe. Yes he's straightened his back but he still looks incredibly uncomfortable and awkward to me. I don't understand what the judges see in him, tbh. Nice lad, but big whoop.

64ChewsBrains · 28/10/2018 00:27

Hmm, I like Shirley but I seem to be in a minority. Poor Shirl! Not sure we’d hit it off in RL, but I kind of enjoy her comments. I have zero dance knowledge so I find it interesting when judges give detailed mini-explanations of technique.

They all seem fine to me tbh. Bruno’s the only one I find a bit irritating.

Only started following the show last year though, so I don’t know much about the Before Shirley era (“BS”).

ThanksItHasPockets · 28/10/2018 00:28

Just caught up on tonight’s show.

Did anyone else think that the opening number was a bit culturally tone-deaf? I know that Día de los Muertos is fashionable at the moment but it’s not the same as Hallowe’en - and why a calypso song?!

OzzyMadBat · 28/10/2018 01:03

I don't understand what the judges see in him, tbh. Nice lad, but big whoop

They don't. But because they cannot call him out as entertainment only/people's champion like Susan, Ed, Lisa et al, they have to act as if he's been on a journey to justify his place in the final.

I swear, if he ever ends up bottom 2, they'll chuck him under the bus but in the meantime they'll be seen as supportive because of his fanbase. Gemma only had 2 -3 great dances, they did the same with her.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 28/10/2018 01:28

Snean has to go this week surely? When he does there will be a tell all feature in some shit gossip magazine, a double page spread focused on 1 kiss.
I think Ringer McRingface Ashley will win it.

areyoubeingserviced · 28/10/2018 06:48

I agree that snoggate really clouded Strictly for me this year and I think that’s why Craig wants them out. It just feel uncomfortable watching them tbh
Katya has obviously been spoiled all her life and is now feeling the pressure. I do feel sorry for her though and I think her marriage is over
Seann is an arse and I hope he goes tonight.
Nicole S - what is wrong with the woman?

ElspethFlashman · 28/10/2018 07:12

Lol, even TessBot looked stunned at the void of personality that is Nicole S.

Gooseysgirl · 28/10/2018 07:36

I don't think Ashley will win... she's coasting on her high scores at the moment. When it comes down to the final few I doubt she'll win the popular vote. Is there any way to see how the public vote from week to week?

MrsJamin · 28/10/2018 07:42

Ashley won't win. There's zero progression, she's a professional dancing with a professional, I skip if I am not watching it live, I have no interest in her and her fake "ooh its so hard and confusing!!" VT every bloody week. She knows she is sailing through it. Joe, Chelsey or Danny will win.

Inkanta · 28/10/2018 07:49

Yeah. Craig took the bull by the horns - and shook them. Someone needed to. Well done Craig.
