Me too. My eldest DD is not watching as she disagrees with the casting but my youngest DD is ridiculously excited and keeps telling DS that Dr Who is going to be a woman in awed tones, bless her cotton socks.

DD is 9 and has never seen Dr Who, she saw the trailer recently and instantly wanted to watch new series!

I cried a little bit when she was revealed! 37 years I’ve been waiting for a woman to step into the lead. And I think Jodie will be magnificent!

Can’t wait , loved her from the first moment after regeneration when she caught her reflection and said “oh brilliant”. She’s going to be excellent, just hope the writing is good,

There's two younger Whovians in the house one really liked it, the other isn't sure. Though I think it's just the change- didn't like music being different!)

Really liked it. It felt so different to the last series which I didn't really like. Much more of a mature feel to it.

Loved Jodie and the retro new theme music (although v disappointed not to get it at the beginning).

Feel a bit conned not seeing the new TARDIS in that episode though!
