Majority of the comments on social media have been quite positive!

Cheguevarahamster · 07/10/2018 20:14

Loved it. Younger son got scared and watched much of it on the stairs. Felt a bit teary when she realised she was the doctor on the crane. Missed the Tardis but looking forward to it next week.

BestIsWest · 07/10/2018 20:14

Liked it a lot. Bit of a Tennant vibe I thought.

inquiquotiokixul · 07/10/2018 20:20

Really liked it. Loved seeming the making of the new sonic thingummy (is it still a screwdriver?). Plot mostly nice and strong, though thought Grace's death was a bit contrived, like she dies because the scriptwriter decides it's time for her to die rather than any sensible reason. Dialogue a bit clunky in places.

HiHoToffee · 07/10/2018 20:26

I really liked it and so did the rest of the family. DD's only complaint was the lack of opening credits. Bring on next week!

Sums it right up for me. I'd only stayed with it to watch with my two sons, but it totally brought back what I used to love about Doctor Who

RustyBear · 07/10/2018 21:10

I liked it very much, think it’s promising.
Just finished a 4-year long rewatch of all of Doctor Who about an hour before, and I’m seeing a lot of echoes from the past in this. I particularly liked the speech about lost family, which was similar what the second Doctor told Victoria in Tomb of the Cybermen.

MrsJayy · 07/10/2018 21:38

I loved it she was fabby i am so pleased Tim Shaw though Grin

DoctorTwo · 08/10/2018 00:31

I quite enjoyed that. I thought Jodie was great. The lack of an opening theme tune was a tad concerting though. As that's my only complaint I'll say it was a success. :o

spiderlight · 08/10/2018 10:17

I liked it - I think she's going to absolutely nail it.

(Slightly irritated when she said 'Would of' though!)

RustyBear · 08/10/2018 21:44

She didn’t say would of, she said would’ve, (see subtitles) which is fine. It’s only when it’s written would of that it’s wrong.
