Is there life after Dexter???

We're only on series 4 but not sure what could possibly compare to Dexter, Deb, Matsuka, Quinn et al.

Any ideas for a similarly excellent series?

We've enjoyed Breaking Bad, Peaky Blinders (Tommoyyyyyyy!), The Alienist.

Suits! I resisted watching it for so long, but I caved and I love it! Harvey Specter makes it soooo worthwhile

Suits? Is that the one set in the 1950s with Elizabeth Moss (love her!) from the Handmaid's Tale?

No I think that may be Mad Men? I haven't watched it so I'm not sure but it's set in the 50s!

Suits is a programme about lawyers, if you have Netflix they have 8 seasons of goodness to watch

If you like Dexter watch Safe - stars the same lead actor and set in UK. Only one series. Really recommend
And he's also in Six Feet Under which is pretty good - however there were too many series for me to fully commit to it!

Oh and I only managed two seasons of Breaking Bad but am suprisingly enjoying Better Call Saul so much more.

No spoilers but I do think 4 (if it's the John Lithgow series) is where it peaked and then fell off a cliff

Came to say sons of anarchy but someone's beat me to it.... by far the best series we've watched

I love Matsuka, this is my favourite scene!

And that Dexter and Debbie were once married in real life.

Well although Pawnee is right in saying it peaked in series 4, IMO it is still very much worth watching the rest.

i still miss it.....

The end of season 4 is exquisite. I am jealous.

No it's a dramatisation of true events

I’d dig out a few other epic TV series - breaking bad, The Shield, The Wire, Mad Men, Six Feet Under, Sons of Anarchy

Teller have you seen The Shield? Lots of the same people involved as in SoA and much much better - best series ever, in my opinion

Omg! Series 4! I spent half an hour speechless after watching that series!!! Series 5...not so good!

First series is a bit meh, but it gets better and better and better. You'll be bereft when it's over, I promise.
