Denise Welsh on loose women was spot on about Roxanne. And she was also right about how tv shows have to be shown to balance an argument, which is a point to remember - Emma Willis, Jeremy vine, Sarah Derbyshire etc will be bound by that so we can't blame them for not being anti-Roxy, their job necessitates it, and legally the shows will be bound by that. They can't be seen to be on a witch hunt. That said, I'm disappointed Roxanne wasn't challenged more.

The one thing I don't agree with Denise Welsh/ the LW panel over is that they were saying how this whole thing just highlights how it can be dangerous to automatically believe the woman as there will be others out there who have been wrongly accused. Whilst that is undoubtedly true, we can't use this debacle as a reason to say "well maybe let's not believe women until there's proof", as in most cases women don't feel they can speak out anyway, so there are more cases that go under reported than falsely reported, and the majority of women would NEVER create such lies. And herein lies the issues with what Roxanne has done - it is now making people turn around the #metoo movement into a place that might automatically assume protection for the man rather than the woman. She has single handedly managed to piss on the progress being made by things like the #metoo movement - she's managed to shift the focus back to "but what if the woman is lying". It's very infuriating

She is totally dismissing the people who have spoken up about her behaviour. She hasn't learned anything at all. She still blames everyone else for the fact that she's been caught out.
