Does anyone else think the writers might be lining up a Jacob/Maya storyline, similar to the Lachlan/Alicia one, but a bit different, I hope not.

Queen you mean a grooming story? That would be a first for a soap, I think (woman teacher grooming a male pupil). It gets reported a lot these days. How old is Jacob? 14?

I think he is about 14 south. Noah is 14 and I think Jacob is a similar age.

I didn't see April hide the invitation but it wouldn't surprise me - sorry but I find her a bit of a madam.

I've never heard of a head of a primary school becoming head of a secondary - not in any school I've worked in anyway. Jessie is awful and so is Maya - I don't think she can be trusted.

I didn’t mean grooming, I meant when Lachlan had a ‘thing’ for Alicia, but she didn’t reciprocate, maybe the writers are lining up similar for Jacob, but Maya will reciprocate, however, a grooming storyline could be more current, like you say, I don’t think any of the Soaps have done that.

Corrie did an online grooming storyline with Sarah-Lou and some bloke (who was played by Sam Kane ) , I didn't see the story on TV .
The Emmerdale one (that will happen now 'cos the writers read these threads ) will be face-to-face grooming .

I think those on the grooming track are right. There was something in the way Liana (sp?) was talking during her spat with Maya that made me think there is more to be revealed about that relationship with Dr Cavanaugh. And how cruel was Maya to tell Liana she wasn’t wanted by her mother? That was a hint of her true character I think.

I agree that was an awful and spiteful thing to say to anyone, let alone a child. I hate the character (well as much as you can hate a fictional tv character!). David is such an arse, he is a horrible partner so I kind of hope she is awful to him and he gets what he deserves!

I was slack jawed whenever Layla was singing David’s praises and saying what a goodbye partner he was and how lucky Maya was to have him. he’s a horrible partner!! He cheats in every single relationship.

I agree! I thought leyla and Tracey had come to their senses and worked out what a wet needy people pleaser he was. Why would she now start singing his praises? Don't believe it. And much as I also think there's something dodgy going on with Maya, I was impressed with her backbone in sticking to her guns about moving out and that he should stop with the emotional blackmail. But then she went and did an about turn. V disappointing.

Yes I thought the same when Leyla was talking about David, he's a terrible partner for anyone, he wore Tracy down with all his proposals, pestered her endlessly and the minute she needed him he was about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike.

Maya is creepy, I wasn't surprised when she said that to Liana, remember when she "let it slip" to Jacob that Tracey had an abortion, she knows what she is doing, she's playing the long game.

Why is April picking on Leo, hiding the invite was awful but to put that sign on his back is just mean and nasty.

I agree. It seemed strange to get Maya to move in on Layla's say so after being so adamant that she wouldn't.

Agree about Maya. Think there might be a very unpleasant storyline coming up. She's extremely manipulative and I can't believe David the wet blanket let her get away with speaking to Liana like that, let alone her previous so called slip ups.

I think April’s jealous of Leo that’s why she’s acting out towards him. To her Leo has a mum and two dads (Marlon and Paddy) as well as Pete, but April just has Marlon (and dreary Jessie)

I have a feeling that April is protecting Leo. The way they've set it up makes me think they want us to assume it's her but in reality she isn't the bully. Not sure about the invite, perhaps she hid it to protect him from bullying at the party. I don't know, just feel it's probably not as simple as we think.

Very interesting storyline, watching to see what they do with it.

Hollyoaks did a female teacher and male pupil storyline. I haven’t watched it for years so it must have been a long time ago. I think her character was called Becca but that’s all I remember!

Anyone else tired of Dingles story lines? They get so many, always seriously ill or going to prison, they need to give them a rest and spread the story lines around the village more.
