On the soap section on This Morning they clarified that Joe wasn't coming back, so looks like Graham did finish him off

I won't believe it unless they find a body. Maybe he'll turn up looking like a zombie for Halloween

It's all very odd. There was so much potential for his character. I hope we don't get an identical storyline with James Tate now. That would be ludicrous.

I agree it’s very odd and sudden. Joe was an interesting character. I was starting to warm to him. It makes no sense for the show to write him out. It would have been far more entertaining and a lot more mileage to have him and Kim battling it out for possession of Home farm. But now we have no Joe and Kim is back in prison. No job for Graham so he’ll probably be off now too. So that’s it? Seems pretty pointless bringing her back just for a week. I don’t get it. There must have been stuff happening off screen for Joe to want to leave permanently.

Jo/Ned simply said that he was leaving to go travelling n might try acting in America. All odd.

Seems logical to me Ned's gone. He's got a good chance of cracking America - why would he stay in dreary old Leeds when he could be giving it a go in sunny L.A? Plus it was obvious last week anyway with the scene of Graham breaking down.

I agree! I loved it too. Graham never got to be a dad and Noah never got to have a dad. They need each other.
