Hello slovenlys it depends on how you are getting to Wimbledon - it’s quite a walk from the tube station so I would probably go with flats but it depends on what you’re comfortable with.

Or maybe you’ll be chauffeur driven there? Grin

MirandaWest · 13/07/2018 17:01

Poor Rafa having to wait for this long (and then who knows how long)

Fizzywinegum · 13/07/2018 17:06

Yes hopefully Raahh I was wondering who you meant at first - the heat has got to me Grin

I’d almost forgotten there was another match - feel sorry for both players having to wait this long.

ladymelbourne1926 · 13/07/2018 17:06

As much as I love tennis, I'm really struggling to concentrate on this, such big serves just don't make for entertaining tennis, Im not surprised the crowd are wandering and out a bit.

JaneJeffer · 13/07/2018 17:06

kazza suit prat appears to have ripped the crotch of his trousers!

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 13/07/2018 17:07

Well, Isner has form. I wouldn't bet against this set being like that fifth set in the Federer/Anderson match.

This comment on the BBC feed made me laugh though:

Seems barely five minutes since he was in this position against Roger Federer in the last eight. Actually, that's a lie - it feels like this semi-final has been going on for five days.

Hope everything ok TheOnly

Oh, yes: it's just one of those stupid days when lots and lots of things go a little bit wrong and you end up feeling sort of discombobulated and restless and not really sure what you want to do.

I have shedloads of work to do but am not in a Work Place at all. But am not in an anything else place either.

magimedi · 13/07/2018 17:08

Bits of this are gripping but much of it is boring. So hope Kevin wins but am dying for the next match!

Anyone spotted Private yet? Grin

Slovenlys have a wonderful day tomorrow. I'd wear flats - it's going to be hot & most of the time you will be sitting so no one will see!

magimedi · 13/07/2018 17:09

TheOnly - I know just how you feel.

I recommend Gin Grin

Raahh · 13/07/2018 17:10

Suit prat (if it is Justin Gimelstob) is a sexist pig- google him and Anna Kournikova, around 2008. He made vile comments about a lot of women.

And on the radio they are convinced he is coaching via gestures from his box to Isner.

Oh, TheOnly Hope you are o.k.Flowers

I barely slept last night, which isn't unusual, but I have been feeling panicky all day.

And I' sure it's not just because I'm nervous about RafaGrin

magimedi · 13/07/2018 17:13

Suit prat is indeed Gimblestob. He is a right tosser.

Fizzywinegum · 13/07/2018 17:14

TheOnly why don’t you watch the tennis for now and then get other things done maybe tomorrow am if that’s an option?

I often feel like I don’t know what to do but if one of the choices is watch tennis then I usually go with that.

Hope I’m not being too simplistic.

Raahh · 13/07/2018 17:15

Well, magi with his views on women, and Isner being a Trump supporter, they are a good pair, aren't they?

Bloody hell- COME ON KEVIN!

OP posts:
Fizzywinegum · 13/07/2018 17:16

Oh yes Gin is also a good option!

ladymelbourne1926 · 13/07/2018 17:17

I know just how you feel TheOnly - I recommend tennis and wine.
Tomorrow's another day.

Raahh · 13/07/2018 17:18

Oh, I wish they would use the blister tape on Mac's mouth.

slovenlys · 13/07/2018 17:20

@fizzywinegum actually Blush we will be chauffeur driven. and we've got the posh seats with champagne on tap all day and a four course meal n stuff oooooooh. I'm leaning towards heels but I just don't want to seem too out of place, this kind of event is not normal for me!!!

JaneJeffer · 13/07/2018 17:21

slovenlys wear the heels and put some flats in your bag just in case.

Raahh · 13/07/2018 17:25

It's really funny looking at both of them- Anderson is 6ft 8, and Isner 6ft 10, so not much between them- but Anderson looks 'normal' just tall, and Isner looks freakish.

Do lots of claps mean something to Isner? Justin was going some then. Is it like coughing in 'Who wants to be a Millionaire'?

OP posts:
Raahh · 13/07/2018 17:26

I don't like it when the player I want to win is playing catch up in the 5th.

OP posts:
GrouchyKiwi · 13/07/2018 17:27

Is this match still going on? I'm sure I watched the start of it 4 hours ago.

ladymelbourne1926 · 13/07/2018 17:27

Me neither raahh
Anderson is looking tired.

Raahh · 13/07/2018 17:28

Grouchy yes, it is. Grin

Don't lose your nerve, Kev!

OP posts:
Fizzywinegum · 13/07/2018 17:29

In that case Slovenlys Id go with heels Grin. Have a great day.

Raahh · 13/07/2018 17:30

Ugh.

The thought of a Novak /Isner final is not a good one.

I would have to watch it, it's Wimbledon.

And I would have to support Novak. Which would be a bit rubbish.
