I can thoroughly recommend the stage show of "The Commitments". (Possibly not on any more) it was the last show we went to before we left London and it was brilliant. Loved it.

told, I'd go for Wicked again given the chance.

And yes, I love the continued non-Doctors wittering.

Raahh · 22/07/2018 16:43

told I saw the stage show first (about 18 years ago), and then saw the film (fortunately at home on dvd a few years back). My mother and sister had already seen Les Mis (the stage show ) when they took me, and raved about it. I wasn't blown away. It has some good songs, but it's just not my kind of thing.

I would have loved to see 'Phantom' though, back in the day. My mum was lucky enough to see the original cast with Michael Crawford . She also saw the 'proper' Barnum.

I have been plagued by 'The Greatest Showman' lately. DD1 (who is 11, and usually more into football than show tunes, loves it). She also sings along.

DD1 , bless her, cannot carry a tune in a bucket.

But she is very enthusiastic.

I will continue to encourage her goal keeping career. Grin.

Raahh · 22/07/2018 16:44

Maybe, we could push for a 'Doctors- the Musical'
We know Al can sing.

But it would encourage Jimmi, so maybe not. Grin

FuzzyCustard · 22/07/2018 21:14

Val could sing anything from "Cats".

redshoeblueshoe · 23/07/2018 11:48

We watched The Gunman last night. Lots of Sean Penn and violence. Over an hour and a half in I realise we'd watched it before.

Val had a cameo appearance as a murderous spy or something I was loosing the will by the time it got to her

Doctors the musical - that could be fun Grin

Cats Grin

Letherbridge- A Tale of two Surgeries.

We need to get Andrew Lloyd Webber on the blower.

Raahh · 23/07/2018 13:18

Actually, I think I we should save that for a future thread title Grin

I had forgotten what happened at the end of the seriesShock.

To be fair, as cliffhangers go, it wasn't as good as the arrested at wedding/ Bren dead in the Cop shop one.

FuzzyCustard · 23/07/2018 18:30

I can see Jimmi doing a couple of numbers from "Hair". Not the nudey ones.

Raahh · 23/07/2018 18:38

Not the nudey ones

His OCD would go into overdrive. Grin

toldmywrath · 24/07/2018 09:01

Raahh brilliant! A Tale of Two Surgeries. I also love the use of the word blower. My Ddad ( now dead) used that word all the time for phone.

toldmywrath · 24/07/2018 09:02

After all, Zara is hoping for Great Expectations. Although being post menopause might be tricky.

Raahh · 24/07/2018 09:09

Ooh, yes, I'd forgotten Zara wants a baby.

How soon we forget Grin.

Raahh · 24/07/2018 09:11

My dad always used to call the phone the 'blower' too.

I seemed to be the norm certain types of 70's police shows. Grin.

FuzzyCustard · 24/07/2018 14:31

My dad and "the blower" too. Hurrah for people who get it!

I'd hate to have Zara as my mum. Her face has a permanent sneer (only equalled by Laura Kuennsberg on the news) that looks like she has just trodden in a dog turd.

redshoeblueshoe · 25/07/2018 21:58

I'm hoping Ruhma has run off to Australia

I'm looking forward to seeing the December episodes, all bundled up in wooly jumpers and coats- whilst sweating under neath.

I love Letherbridge weather Grin. And the fact they don't even do anything really to disguise the glaring seasonal anomalies. Grin
