Yeah, I wonder where they are going with this Xanthe wanting to be a doctor thing. If they’re setting up for Lilly leaving, maybe there will be some super-duper medical course in Queensland and she’ll go there along with Piper, and get back together with Ben. If she isn’t leaving, I wonder what the point of it is? I don’t really care whether she’s a doctor or a nurse, although we already have 3 doctors, which is entirely too many for Neighbours

I think they were trying to show pretty blonde women don't have to do hair dressing or child care and then with piper as a bff it was always going to be why a nurse not a doctor. Personally I think she makes a, better nurse

I think she’d be a lovely nurse, and we don’t have any at the moment. Yeah I did get the sense that they were trying to go “women can be doctors too!”-there is that “Girl Power” vibe in Neighbours at the moment, with Yashvi kicking ass playing football, and Bea being an apprentice mechanic-although I suppose they’ve always had female mechanics, but not for a while. But we get it, they don’t need to bash us over the head with it! Xanthe can be a nurse if she wants to be, it’s no less worthy than being a doctor. I think Susan would be annoyed if she did medicine though, she’s always been a bit snobby towards Xanthe, and it would probably annoy her that Xanthe could potentially become something that they wanted Ben to be

Can someone quickly explain the Sonya/toady/willow/Andrea story?

Toadie’s brother Stonie showed him a photo of someone he saw in Colac, who he thought was Dee. Toadie paid someone to investigate this, then “Dee” turned up on his doorstep. He tried to help her get money from her dead parents’ estate but there was none. She told him Willow was his daughter and was 13, as she’d been pregnant when she went into the water, had a head injury and memory problems, and was rescued by a lady called Emily, with whom she’d been living “off the grid” ever since. She faked DNA test results by stealing Dee’s old hairbrush from the Rebecchis’ house and faked Willow’s results by taking Nell’s DNA and swapping it with Willow’s. Toadie gave her $100,000 allegedly to pay for Willow to get into a school for gifted kids, but she and Willow legged it to London. Toadie saw this on Willow’s Instagram and followed them, then slept with “Dee” as he thought Sonya had slept with Mark. Sonya saw him having sex with Dee on Skype, as he’d left the laptop open after an earlier call. Toadie then discovered that “Dee’s” passport said “Andrea Somers” and it all came out that she’d been working with Sindi Watts to pretend she was Dee to try and scam money out of the Bliss estate. Willow was 15, not 13. Toadie came back to Australia for baby Caitlin’s funeral and Willow returned later in the year, Toadie then helped her meet her real father, and she went to live with him and his family.

Sonya/toady/willow/Andrea story?
Toadies first wife came back from the dead and announced that her daughter willow was toadies kid. She faked a dna test with Actual kid.
It all came out that she was just a lookalike and willow wasn't his. She was actually Andrea not first wife Dee. By this time he'd given her 100k for supposed school fees though and she ran off to England.
Toadie followed and they had sex. Sonya saw it on the webcam when she tried to face time him.

At this time Andrea was carrying a surrogate for Mark, she had the amnio and after seeing Toadie being a Toad she had a miscarriage.

Toadie came back sorry, Willow was angry at her mom and they managed to find her real Dad who she now lives with. Sonya descended into alcoholism.

They worked through it and renewed their vows, and have just decided to have a baby. Willow didn't want then to hunt Andrea down because she claimed she was nc with her bit that doesn't seem to be the case.

Now Cindy, who meet Andrea years ago and convinced her to be Dee to claim family inheritance, has turned up with a baby she claims is Andreas and Toadie's

Xanthe would be a good nurse or midwife. The whole reason she did it was because of her bedside manner. She would want to be able to give patients more time and personal care than she could as a doctor.

I agree middle. She only seems to want to be a doctor because David said she’d be a good one as she kept calm in a crisis. Not the best criterion on which to make a life-changing career decision

And I know a lot more incidences where nurses have to do that. She reminds me of one of DS's PICU nurses when he was new
