Not much longer to wait out for the Nigeria episodes! Some of us are still mourning the death of Elvis.

Ooh, yes Delphin, I reckon Bones is well 'ard, and compared with him, Elvis is / was a pussycat.
kazza - I quite liked that baby elephant moment. Could be all three, but could also be a way of showing how observant he is. Could be that he is watching the weather conditions for (a) the chopper and (b) their own return journey and that particular cloud formation catches his eye.

Delphin · 28/06/2018 21:39

I vote for unhinged, heh!
Brew ([rosabaya] does not work! grmbl)

@eejit:
"I reckon Bones is well 'ard, and compared with him, Elvis is / was a pussycat."
Olly Rix as Bones actually looks like he could indeed be in Special Forces and lug a 40 kg load around all day (there are Navy Special Forces in the next town from here, and I've seen some of them on the beach there, doing their afternoon run in the sand for "fun"). I never believed that of Elvis (suspension of disbelief Grin)

Long term lurker of this thread and long term admirer of CJ ❤️

First things first, where is this beach full of Navy special forces you speak of @delphin? My word what a way to spend a sunny afternoon, getting hot just thinking about it.

Secondly I might have imagined this but at the end of last series I thought it was implied Georgie was pregnant. I was fully expecting a twist this series of who was the Daddy, the Indian chap or Elvis but nothing so far.

Did I imagine this? Was there enough time between tours for her to give birth? Do you think at some point we will see her back in the UK and a baby will be in her arms and it will look just like Elvis?

Please please please for the love of God let LT just appear for a brief moment with CJ so the illusion of there wonderful relationship isn't shattered.

Currently feeling poorly so I've been re watching the pilot and the first series with the husband today. Come tea time I asked if we could watch some more episodes to which he didn't seem keen so I cheekily said if I watched some more CJ I might make a miraculous recovery and that he might then get lucky tonight. His reply, go on then, you have CJ and I'll have LT. I replied swoonfully I wish you lusted after me like that and then we both laughed and said we've been together 17 years and we have a toddler, not bloody likely. Safe to say I watched another episode and haven't had to put out 😂😂 winner winner

It's THEM. I could tell you where they are but then I'd have to kill you. Wink

I too saw those in Richmond Park this morning, en route to our cricket match!

Alwaysfrank · 01/07/2018 16:39

Hope she was ok flowerfan, it was very hot today for a half marathon.

Ilovelblue · 01/07/2018 17:45

Hi everyone. Been a bit under the weather these past few days with a sore throat and generally feeling out of sorts. Have been reading the posts but that's all.

Are we still up for a watchalong tonight? Rhu are you with us?

That's a lovely photo Flower. A very hot day for running. Not my cup of tea, that's for sure.

I'm about 15 miles from where the moorland fires are on Winter Hill. You can't really smell the smoke from where I live but I had to nip into a town about 8 miles from there this afternoon and it was very obvious. It's hard to believe that somebody has started the fires deliberately. There's an army unit down from Catterick helping the firefighters.

I've loved reading the theories about CJ etc. Don't envy Georgie having Bones as her CO, albeit temporarily. He's a lunatic.

@delphin spoil sport 😉

Did I dream there was a moment with a distant stare and a maternal hand on her tummy?

Flowerfan · 01/07/2018 18:53

Yes thank you DD did finish the race with, as she said, my worst time ever!!!
She certainly does NOT get the running bug from me but she loves it.

Haven’t heard from her since she finished so probably asleep or I hope so she has to work tomorrow.

DH still not going out so no watchalong tonight but I know I will enjoy reading your comments.
Sort of dreading next episode don’t know what to think.

Rhubarb01 · 01/07/2018 19:35

Evening, yes I'm back from my travels ilove and ready for 9pm.

I note that Tuesday's episode of OG has been moved to Wednesday due to a certain football match. I suppose they are anticipating it overrunning or needing to spend ages dissecting it for one reason or another.

From all the snippets of info out there, I'm guessing we aren't going to particularly enjoy the upcoming episodes. As it stands, I simply don't like the character of Bones, not sure if that is going to change unless he reveals some characteristic that gains my sympathy.

Ilovelblue · 01/07/2018 20:55

Stunt - welcome to our madness. I forgot to say so before.

To the best of my knowledge, there has never been any hint that Georgie was pregnant. I know we (on here) wondered if this might be the case as the Afghan/Nepal episodes finished but there was never any hint of it in the programme as far as I know.

In position at the RV point and starting...now!

Rhubarb01 · 01/07/2018 21:01

Back in the jungle, scary music, drone flying over the forest.

Ilovelblue · 01/07/2018 21:01

Yes, I'm here too. Coffee (not Rosabaya) in hand.

CJ still sweaty. Leg looks...er...that's "yeah" boss it's infected.

Rhubarb01 · 01/07/2018 21:03

Nice welcome "Are they dead already."

Love the use of "Vexed" from Rab.

Ilovelblue · 01/07/2018 21:03

I do hate that expression "Calm your t*ts". I remember Georgie using it to her Mum. I'd never heard it before or since until now.

Rhubarb01 · 01/07/2018 21:03

I have coffee in hand too. Also not Rosabaya!

Ilovelblue · 01/07/2018 21:04

One minute CJ is almost delirious and the next minute he's sitting up pointing his pistol??

Rhubarb01 · 01/07/2018 21:04

Bones is so rude. How dare he upstage a Brigadier. I wonder if he's got something on the Brig.

eejittwo · 01/07/2018 21:05

Maybe it’s army slang,ilove.

Ilovelblue · 01/07/2018 21:05

Bones is just completely ignorant. I dislike him intensely.

Rhubarb01 · 01/07/2018 21:05

Is that a euphemism ilove ?
