I wonder what Spanner and Peanut think of that. She probably feels awkward about being seen going off with Bones even though she doesn't fancy him.

Don't like the sound of CJ yelling. He was much more reserved on the bridge in Afghan.

I enjoyed doing that! It's great to read the other comments as we go along but you have to concentrate to keep up!

I don't like the sound of CJ's comments to Georgie which I've just seen in the trailer for next week's episode.

I'm going back for a re-read of the comments because I can't fully read everything at the time.

If I don’t think about it as lacking Elvis, I can, and did, enjoy it for itself. It’s not the same, of course, but it works on its own terms.

I agree "eejit*. If we don't overthink it, and treat it as a drama as you might any other series, it's absolutely fine. I think we have made a problem for ourselves because we are so invested and know the previous episodes like the back of our hands. I don't disagree with most of the comments/criticisms, but I liken it a bit to going somewhere lovely on holiday then you decide to go back to the same place but the weather isn't as good and the hotel has changed hands. In other words, you have high expectations which aren't necessarily met. Does that sound a bit daft?

I remember us being pretty critical of series 2 in places when it first apeared but when I did a binge watch months later I found it much easier to just go along with the story and enjoy it for what it was.

I think the difference this time is that we are starting to go over similar ground and thinking 'Not again!'

Hi everyone. Just catching up, completely agree ilove, I just can't get excited about this series, it's like deja vu! I went back and watched series 1, and still get the tingles ... I thought I'd gone off CJ, but I think I've just gone off the 'new' (without Molly there) CJ.

What I wouldn't give to see CJ with Molly or to hear him say something nice about her. At least in the last series he still seemed to be in love from the way he smiled when he talked about her.

CJ has definitely started to lose his way. Still very handsome but his character has weakened.
