Has anyone been watching? I’m finding it strangely compelling and looking forward to tomorrow’s episode!

Yes, me too.

mendelssohn19 · 09/05/2018 07:20

Me!

I don't know their names yet but I really think they guy should have chosen the beautiful red head who was a widow they seemed well matched but instead he's picked a Kate Middleton look a like and a Towie extra!

LeonoraFlorence · 09/05/2018 07:39

Yes, I felt so bad for Megan. I wonder if he might go back to her once the show is over? It was telling that his sister liked her the most.
I so hope Peter goes for the blonde woman. Christine I think? They are so well matched. I can see her fitting right in on the farm. He is lovely.

I'm watching but it hasn't been an easy view - seems so unfair that the farming men get so many letters in their boxes and the farming women so few. Also the women who write in were in general quite attractive, smart and can hold a conversation. The men poor Christine (?) had to choose from were, in general, on the overweight side and didn't seem particularly interested in her personally. IApart from Joe who was nice. I really felt for her when after one chap left the room she wordlessly toppled over into a heap of sofa cushions. Grin

Only seen the first episode though, maybe it will change...

eloisesparkle · 13/05/2018 09:40

I disagree Leonora.
I think Megan was looking for a more serious relationship while the guy was young and looking for a bit of fun.
Megan was lovely and life has been very hard for her - losing her husband so soon after being married and so quickly too - from diagnosis until he died was a week Shock.
I do hope she meets someone lovely. It's great that she has decided to 'look for love' again, after all the heartbreak.

I'm glad somebody saw sense and Franny decided the farming life was not for her.

The whole concept of the show is a little odd and it is a bit stilted. It doesn't really work. But perhaps that's just me - I don't watch TOWIE, MIC, BB, LI etc so probably not the targeted viewer.

Bluesheep8 · 13/05/2018 13:20

I'm loving it! Just watching episode 2 on catch up. Am thinking Francesca is only on the show because she's desperate to be on tv though...

Dadof2females · 14/05/2018 01:19

Totally agree Megan was a lovely girl definitely a keeper seemed the sort of girl who everybody needs loving and caring

Bluesheep8 · 14/05/2018 08:31

Yes I liked Megan too but I liked the guy's honesty with her and I think she appreciated that. Although, given what she's been through and the fact that this was her first foray into dating after the tragic loss of her husband, I was a bit surprised that she chose to do this on TV....it's very 'exposed' for someone so clearly vulnerable don't you think?

mendelssohn19 · 18/05/2018 11:04

Has anyone watched this weeks?

Carriemac · 18/05/2018 11:12

I did ! I think the vet has just picked the kind of boy who has been bad for her before, the nice Scottish farmer lady made a good choice
And the Yorkshire farmer just seems sex mad to me

mendelssohn19 · 18/05/2018 11:23

I couldn't agree more @Carriemac

I see heather ending up in tears tbf!

LeonoraFlorence · 18/05/2018 17:20

I think the same. You can tell the vet goes for Callum’s type and it usually doesn’t end well. I wasn’t keen on the tree surgeon either though!

NellMangel · 18/05/2018 22:57

I'm enjoying this. I like how the participants are pretty straightforward and kind in their decision making. E.g. the equine vet who told the man it wouldn't work if he can't spare a weekend for her.

I definitely wouldn't date a farmer. I won't get a pet cos it's too much of a commitment, these people have a life of not holidaying or having a duvet day.

NellMangel · 23/05/2018 23:00

Stop doing that to your hair Rebecca!

3SteaksPam · 24/05/2018 09:03

I'm surprised it doesn't end up really greasy @NellMangel

Not sure the pig farmer picked the right choice .but the other guy that started so well really went into his shell

Carriemac · 24/05/2018 12:36

The two visiting at the same format is arkward for the older participant I think.
That farriers house was rank and rebecca needs to tie up that hair!

TossDaily · 24/05/2018 12:38

That farrier's shorts and sleeveless t-shirts were enough of a no-no for me.

He made my flesh crawl.

The80sweregreat · 24/05/2018 15:43

watched it last night.
I think that the lady Pig farmer was more attracted to his lovely presents than him! the other guy could have got her some flowers or something.
It was a bit ' pistols at dawn ' at times having them there together. odd format - mind you, once he said he volunteered at the RSPB i knew she would chose him.
The man who wore the kilt, he was so different with the blond girl than the first date - he obviously fancied her and he was so cute. i hope they work out as they seem a nice couple.
The farrier was a bit too confident for my liking. wouldnt be for me.

LeonoraFlorence · 24/05/2018 17:12

I think Lisa took Ed’s rejection really well, was all quite awkward because she really had no idea where she stood with him but I think she quite liked him. Just not sure about him and the hair girl. She doesn’t seem as into him in a way.
The pig farmer one was a bit odd, I felt for the first guy as he seemed to be quite left out and became shy when second louder man arrived.

OP posts:
LeonoraFlorence · 24/05/2018 17:13

Oh and I couldn’t take to the horse man. I can see how the one he picked was a good match, thought he wasnt really the florist‘s cup of tea.

OP posts:
The80sweregreat · 24/05/2018 19:06

The pig farmer lady was pretty blown away by him and his presents!
Love to know if it worked out or not.

Cambionome · 26/05/2018 15:15

The second guy with the lady pig farmer seemed nice, but his teeth were so yellow I felt like gagging!! Shock Sorry if that makes me sound shallow, but... bleugh.

eloisesparkle · 26/05/2018 15:25

I liked the first man re the lady who bred pigs.
He would have been very handsome back in the day.

derxa · 29/05/2018 11:39

Watching on catch up. The pig lady is someone I wouldn't mess with. I don't think she likes either of them.

The80sweregreat · 29/05/2018 11:49

The lady with the pigs only liked the one she picked as he bought her lovely presents and was a member of the RSPB! i cant see it lasting.

They way they actually got the other man to go without really saying anything to him was a bit cruel - however, i think he knew his time was up before he even knocked on the door.
The horse man was a bit creepy i think, he seemed to love the whole playing one off against the other one. odd format really, but it gave Sara cox a chance to prance around in wellies looking glam.
