Has anyone been watching? I’m finding it strangely compelling and looking forward to tomorrow’s episode!

The farriers house Shock
It was very very rude not to tidy up that room before his visitors arrived.

The80sweregreat · 29/05/2018 17:29

The farrier did say ‘excuse the mess’ but I don’t think he really cared.

DarlingNikita · 30/05/2018 11:16

My household and I may be alone in not caring that the farrier's house had a messy room! I think it was slightly odd that he shoved all the stuff into a room of shame and then showed it to them, though –either hide it or own it!

But if I went to someone's house and they said 'I'm renovating so it's chaos, sorry,' I wouldn't judge or care at all. I certainly wouldn't think them rude not to tidy, or that it was rank Hmm. In fact I've been to plenty of people's houses that have been in various states of renovation/decorating/other kinds of mess and chaos, and can honestly say I've never felt affronted by it.

Anyway, I think I liked the florist more; the woman he seems to be leaning towards is a bit colourless. Maybe he'll have a great visit with her in London and decide to go with her instead!

Rebecca is a bit cool for school. She likes the guy but I don't know how much or for how long. I like the pig farmer (is it Heather?) and think she and the guy she's chosen will get on well; they seem to be on the same page. The other guy was a bit 'poor little me' and pathetic IMO.

The80sweregreat · 30/05/2018 11:26

I don’t care either about other people’s mess! Gone to visit the person not their house.

Aw - knew it wasn't going to work out for the horse vet. He was just too immature Sad

BeachyUmbrella · 30/05/2018 21:35

Where's that zip wire? Quite like to try that!

Cambionome · 30/05/2018 21:45

God how that attractive blonde woman could put up with that awful Yorkshire farmer... Confused

derxa · 30/05/2018 21:49

Aw - knew it wasn't going to work out for the horse vet. He was just too immature I wish she knew how wonderful she is.

derxa · 30/05/2018 21:52

God how that attractive blonde woman could put up with that awful Yorkshire farmer I know someone exactly like him. He is what he is.

Cambionome · 30/05/2018 21:55

Don't you think it would get on your nerves, though? Gets into bed and immediately talks about farting...
I think she could do better.

furlinedsheepskinjacket · 30/05/2018 22:00

why does she keep laughing?

he's not funny :)

derxa · 30/05/2018 22:20

They're perfect together.

SporkInTheToaster · 30/05/2018 22:25

You see, I think he’s quite charming in a boyish, unsophisticated sort of a way. Yes, he makes jokes about wind & poo but he seems quite sensitive and romantic and willing to do new things. He wouldn’t be my ideal partner but he’s not my worst nightmare, either.

The vet needs to stop choosing that type of bloke. The arrogant, laddish knobhead ones. When she chose him and Sara was asking her about her choice she said he was her ‘usual type’. Time to rethink that, I think. She has so much going for her and can do so much better than that.

dipsticky · 30/05/2018 22:38

Loving it!

Only watched a couple of episodes & I'm hooked. Pretty much agree with much of the above. Yellow teeth man though - didn't anyone else think he tried way too hard?! Thought the other guy came across like a real patronising father in law type. Sweet at times but wouldn't be able to deal with the woman's strong character.

Few incredibly awkward moments when 3s a crowd... cringe!

Liked SCs wellies / outfits / blazers, all gorgeous... thought the blue red (tartan ?) coat was yuck.

theliverpoolone · 30/05/2018 23:29

So disappointed the gay guys didn't stay together - I was expecting a wedding!

Dadof2females · 31/05/2018 01:02

I agree they seem to get on perfect 40 something and having fun we all fart even Jesus

Cambionome · 31/05/2018 07:41

Yes, Dad but would most men talk about it the first time they are away with new girlfriend in a romantic hotel in the South of France?? Confused

It just annoys me that she is fluttering around him all giggles and eyelashes while he plods stolidly along talking about farting and manure. Confused

Why do some women have such low standards?

theliverpoolone · 31/05/2018 16:27

I thought it was quite Hmm that when Helen was telling Pete how wonderful he was, he just said how great that was for him to hear, but said nothing reciprocal back (unless edited out). She's my age, but she comes across like I would have been 20 yrs ago, all giggly over comments like whether she'd brought sexy lingerie on the trip, while nowadays I'd be rolling my eyes and holding back, as he comes across like he's only after one thing. Although she did comment that he was 'taking care of her', so maybe I'm wrong. Will be interesting to see how it all goes - I hope she doesn't get her heart broken, she does seem a bit head-over-heels for him.

Cambionome · 31/05/2018 18:41

I noticed that too liverpool! Helen told him how wonderful he is, and he didn't say anything of the sort back to her... Confused

She seems happy, but I've no idea why!

theliverpoolone · 06/06/2018 22:04

Well, there you go - Pete dumped Helen after all Hmm.
Really liked that pig farmer lady - hope things go well for those two.

derxa · 06/06/2018 22:38

It was all a bit of a shit show in the end. The town people have to adapt to the country people and there's no middle ground.

FreeMantle · 06/06/2018 23:07

I don't think it works.Being a farmer or in a rural trade is acompletely different way of living.
Every episode I watched involved the women scoffing at the idea of cooking breakfast everyday or bringing lunch out or something, like the whole idea was so repressive. Not really grasping that the farmers literally work 20 hour days in busy times and don't have the luxury of popping to the shops like most people because there aren't any.

Also farmers have a hard life. Never going to look as good as people who have the time or reason to bother about appearance.

Perhaps they should have matched British farmers with US or French farmers. More chance of working and then they could decide which country to farm in.

derxa · 07/06/2018 08:46

Yes it is. You're ruled by the weather and the needs of animals.

eloisesparkle · 07/06/2018 19:02

What was Pete's reason for dumping Helen ?
Personally I thought he was punching above his weight with her.
How did she take it ?
I missed the final episode and am not in the UK so can't access the BBC player Sad

furlinedsheepskinjacket · 07/06/2018 22:48

no reason was given eloise
