We all know that the writers read MN after all. Apparently it’s on at 8.30pm this eve?

If Eva says she’s Toyah, presumably hospital notes for Toyah will be pulled out. Now I have no idea what is stored on record for maternity (and the maternity notes are not the full hospital notes AFAIK), but things like blood type will be noted. What if Eva is RH negative? She’ll need and anti-D injection after the birth. Which would get logged on Toyah. What if she got pregnant again? Hospital records for Eva would be of a first time Mum.

I suppose if you are in and out in 24h no time to check
Notes. Besides she can’t give toy name address because midwife and health visitor will want to visit. She have to stay in holidaybplace for couple weeks then move away and hope nobody’s bothered where baby went.

Toyah can't be named on the birth certificate, the surrogate mother has to be. So how are they going to get that past Peter? Hope he never asks to see any paperwork? It's all too ridiculous for words.

They're probably hoping that Peter won't know, or be too involved in the paperwork. Perhaps Toyah will say she worked it out with Jackie to get her name on the birth certificate or something.

He's hardly been on the ball so far, and accuracy has never been allowed to get in the way of a storyline either.

Think Eva has been a bit cruel to Aiden telling him the baby is his then telling him it's not. I know he's a cheating sh*thead but it's still cruel.

Yes agree, bit of a silly twist in the tale but I assume it’s been done so that the truth can all unravel in a really dramatic, drawn out way, as only soap land knows how.

PEter probably won't notice anything, he's not been remotely interested in any of it, even though he's apparently going to have a newborn in a few weeks
And let's face it, no one has noticed Eva being hugely pregnant!

I suppose it would be just about doable for Eva to pretend to be Toyah. There won't be any hospital notes because she won't be going to her hospital, and I don't think any maternity notes are stored until after you're discharged from the midwife anyway. Presumably it's not unheard of for people to turn up in labour without any notes/antenatal care - I guess they'd just test blood type then or err on the side of caution and give anti-d? You don't need ID to register the birth, the hospital sends all the details through to the registrar, so the details you give just have to match what the hospital gave.

Oh I suppose she could claim to be Jackie rather than Toyah 🤔 there'll still be a random place of birth on the certificate though.

The surrogate's baby would have been Toyah and Peter's biological baby
(her egg, his sperm IIRC). Eva's baby will be no biological relation to either Peter or Toyah - but Peter will be in the dark (but not forever under soapland rules)

It would be interesting if Aiden found out and went for custody himself after all this.

What happened to Eileen? I've missed a few episodes, last time I saw her she was being questioned (and Phelan popped up at the end of the episode in a B&B). Did they decide that it wasn't her? Have investigations stopped? (like they did with the body in the Platt's garage!).

NOones seen her. She came back sat on sofa in dark that was about two weeks ago. Looks like summer is somehow living with her again? She can’t be buying milk n bread for Dev!
