We all know that the writers read MN after all. Apparently it’s on at 8.30pm this eve?

I groaned when I say Phelan was still alive. Enough of this charade.

My theory is that he's going to develop sepsis and die a painful but quick death, after which The Truth Will Out. Sepsis has featured in the Archers and in something on tv recently, so it's a current hot topic. Wasn't it also in Line of Duty 4?

Just what makes them think that Phelan can't be let go. It's like they think they have to keep a baddie in to keep us all watching. For goodness sake Corrie script writers, if you're reading this here's a revelation, we don't want to see him any longer, ......it's dragged on too long....LET PHELAN GO. Otherwise you're in danger of losing even more viewers.... It's beyond tiresome.

he would not be paid I assume - where is he earning the money for the flatshare (he would not get much on JSA being under 25 )- sorry not relevant except to realists - this is Corrie after all !

Mollie -Everything you said about Craig is so right.I know it's a soap but I get very irritated by the lack of money realism. Trace,y taking on 2 extra full time staff (Beth and Kirk) annoyed me. What small business can do that - even at minimum wage, with employer's NIc's and option to join the minimum pension etc Tracey would be looking at forking out about 33k+ a year extra that she hadn't budgeted for - as if.

I'd like to say it's so bad it's good. But it isn't.

We groaned with the rest of the viewers when Phelan popped back in that boarding house bed. I am addicted to this rubbish but only because since 1960 I have been watching an enjoyable programme and I keep hoping it will sack the present writers and get some real talent in. However, if this Phelan nonsense carries on I will have to give up on it.

Specials don't get paid, it's a voluntary role. No idea how he can afford his rent or even why he doesn't get a full time job as they only have to volunteer 16 hrs a month. Oh I forgot it's corrie

Why isn’t Audrey bothered that her tenant is subletting x4 over? Maybe Beth is paying his rent? Given they can’t be paying at theirs.

Who just gives a random bloke their sewing box! That's what's the most unrealistic. They might cut paper with your fabric scissors or meddle with your button tin while your back it turned.

I think he won't appear again for ages. They've shown us he's alive, but he won't pop up for ages, when we've nearly forgotten.

I wish Phelan had buried Dev in the concrete - he's totally ridiculous.

They should have a spin-off - Coronation St After Hours - The Phelan Show. All the wild depravity could go in that and the Phelanless street could return to its former more wholesome glory.

My tv seems to have recorded Emmerdale twice and not recorded Corrie. I have to watch with subtitles and they don't have them on itv player on my tv.

Is it worth watching it on the iPad or can someone just give me an overview?

Thank you for the heads up re the subtitles. I'm not deaf but I struggle with tv voices!
