Jayden and maverick are Taylor’s double 💯 Maci did hook up with Ryan behind Dalis back when she split up with Kyle maybe Ryan thought they would be a family but then she met Taylor and that was it.

I feel so sorry for leah and couldn't believe amber is so selfish. Like, i knew she was, but she will happily drop leah on a whim so she could go off shagging her new bloke but god forbid leah isn't sitting around whenever amber wants to play with her!

Re cate, i know she needs help and she is clearly suffering but i think not telling nova she was going away was a horrible thing to do to her daughter.

Cate doesn’t seem to realise that she’s inflicting the childhood trauma she’s trying to recover from on her own daughter. She’s setting Nova up for some serious abandonment issues. That poor little girl is obviously terrified that her mother is going to leave her again.

Only just found this thread! Did anyone else think Ryan was having withdrawals at the end of the last episode? Mac was obviously pissed with him.

Why does cate leave nova with her mum so much given her childhood trauma and drug use?

I get the impression that Larry is in denial about Ryan's recovery, and that Jen is just going along with it all

I think Mckenzie got pregnant hoping she would become a teen mom fixture fulltime like the other girls.

But you could see from last nights episode that he was so high and when he said he needs to go lie down because he is hurting... I was wondering hurting from what, a brutal workout?

His parents are enablers, trying to polish brash onto a shitty situation, no doubt Maci would be blamed if he ever died from his drug problem.

Basically everyone in his life apart from Maci are enablers.

Poor Bentley. So glad he's got a good father figure in Taylor.

Jen looks so sad all the time, she had a sort of sparkle before.

Just caught up with last nights, poor poor Nova. I get it she can’t be a good mum until she’s sorted herself but poor nova. She was petrified of school and her mum going.

Ohhhive found my people!!!! Ryan constantly asking if it was cold snacks of someone who is withdrawing and Mac was annoyed at him so definitely complicit with him still being on drugs. I feel sorry for Maci having to deal with those two crazies for the rest of her life! Jen and Larry seem completely resigned to it. Mac seems miserable - I can't understand what she's up to?!

I feel sorry for Tyler and Nova - he's so supportive of Caitlin but I think someone needs to put him first before he has a breakdown.

Amber.... well, poor Leah but I think she probably does her best. Leah is probably better off with Gary and his wife in their family home than seeing much of Amber. Hopefully she'll be more successful with this next baby.

I think Andrew looks terrified, like what has he got himself into, and now he's stuck.

I think Andrew knows exactly what he's got himself into. He's like the cat whose got the cream. All that tv exposure.

See, I think he thought that was what he was getting, but it's not turned out that way.

I can see Amber's pov tbh - Gary has Leah all the time and could have arranged a playdate during his time. I think he is actually very manipulative - good at giving Amber (and his wife) the bullets for them to fire, while making himself look like a decent fella. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the playdate thing was a punishment because Amber stepped out of line. She isn't the best parent in the world but she does love Leah and their relationship is important. Gary shouldn't allow (or encourage) Leah to make alternative plans during time she should be with her mum.

Tyler is heading for a breakdown, I think. Everyone in his life, bar his mum, is mentally unwell and he is struggling to cope. Felt so sad for Nova.

I have never seen a less enthusiastic father to be than Ryan. Mac is delusional if she thinks he gives a shit about anything other than himself.

Gary definitely manipulates situations to his own agenda and to put his spin in things. It was a bit mean to not swap weekends and a bit to say he was leaving it up to Leah. Tbf Amber didn't want to change the sleepover either. Amber hasn't bothered for months and I can understand why Gary CBA changing arrangements to suit her (not that it's right).

Def thinks Gary tells kristina what to say or what questions to ask him so it doesn't look like he's prompting certain topics, can't stand him

Gary is an absolute gobshite. Kristina can do way better, I have no idea what she sees in him.

Gary telling Leah that he loves Emily more than her was disgusting. Thank god Leah has such a loving and supportive step mum.

Totally agree about Gary I've never liked him. I respect him for raising Leah full time (although I reckon Cristina does a lot of the work) but he does manipulate situations to make himself look better. There's no reason why he couldn't have swapped weekends. I don't think much of Amber either but she can't win with him sometimes.

Do you remember the early episodes Gary was always setting amber up to fail.

So what was she meant to do?

She moved out the flat into a motel and had nowhere else to go so had to go back.

I know she has anger issues and a whole host of other issues but she didn’t stand a chance

I remember Gary bring a bastard in the early series. People give him kudos for looking after Leah full time, but he is only doing what millions of other parents do, which is raising his own kid!

That was a really depressing episode. Ryan and Big Mac are an absolute car crash. What is she thinking, purposely bringing another child into that mess. Jen and Larry look beaten as well. Everyone knows he’s still using. I googled a picture of how Ryan looked in his early 20s and the change in him is massive.
Cate- I may be told I’m not sympathetic to mental illness but I’m fast losing patience with her. Tyler has the weight of the world on his back. The scene with his sister showed some of his feelings; poor sod. I feel Cate didn’t even try. She was saying she wouldn’t use social media and then the next thing she was back on a fancy phone. Hmmm. She didn’t even try being an outpatient. I’m sure sunny Arizona is much nicer than Michigan in January. I can’t believe they didn’t just somehow delay Christmas and wait for her to get back. Also awful- when Nova was in the car on the way to daycare. That was so uncomfortable. My heart broke for that little girl. Does Cate not realise she’s just creating all sorts of issues for that wee soul?
