I can answer some of these MTV has been repeating the early ones and I've been working from home.
Chelsea did her GED after struggling with school attendance after having Aubree, she went to beauty school (and worked in a tanning salon) and quit beauty school to go to another doing something slightly different (maybe more make up?? But I'm not sure) and qualified. She then got a job at a salon that did waxing, facials and wedding make up. She seemed to quit around the time she fell pregnant / had Watson to be a stay at home mum. Given how long she stayed in her old house and her pay she seems quite savvy with her money and not living a particularly extravagant life. Pete the pig is still around, they just keep him and the dogs out the way when filming.
Jenelle qualified in her medical whatever it was, but never got a job.
Kaiser that poor little baby, hes just adorable and david is vile to him. Of course theres DV, she's learnt from watching Barb go through it. Its history repeating. Barb is well aware she has to take a step back and only janelle will jump when she's ready. Watching the early ones, I don't think she ever really wants custody of Jace its just appearances sake. I think she loves him in her own way. Whenever things are going bad for Jenelle she seems to ring up her mum and go "you never gave me my son back". Whilst watching it, its absolutely right she never had him. The string of men, who go from being lovely to strangling her. The numerous arrests that never stick, stealing her mums credit card, fucking off at every opportunity, drugs, drugs and more drugs. Thats been his entire childhood. That poor poor boy, there was an old episode i was watching where barb and janelle were arguing on the phone and hes in Jenelles car singing a song to himself about rainbows it was almost a self soothing reaction. It was heartbreaking. That boy needs the counselling barb has him in.
I also saw the episode where Jenelle was questioning Jace about not liking david and saying "well he will have to get used to him, hes going to be around forever". Jace then said he was scared of david, so she questioned him, of course the people pleaser in him said hes not and he didn't say that. I don't know what lays ahead for that poor boy. Oh and Jenelle is now home schooling maryissa.
Leah and her flood, i don't think she has full custody of the girls anymore. I think Cory still has them the majority of the time. Leah is going to need a lot of luck with one of her girls in teenage years, that comment about "so we don't end up like you" theres been loads of little digs lately from her to her mum. Its going to be a bumpy ride thats for sure!
It was interesting watching the early ones with the hindsight of now.
