Sole it used to just be a sound studio and the crowd were outside, but then they rebuilt it to box them in, I assume to make it easier to control and maybe also to contain the noise?

I think potentially a really good CBB was ruined by the whole YOTW, India, drag queen set up. There were some great characters in there, but the show seemed to be engineered and edited to make a statement. If you weren't part of the "script" then bad luck.
